Oh, hey. Hi. I know you're all sick of me posting any content that isn't an announcement about the podcast's return, but here's another one!

If you miss the sound of my voice and the chaotic way I tell a story, first of all- please tell my kids how lucky they are to have that luxury 24/7. 🤣 And secondly, come hang out with me while I tell weird stories next Saturday!

We are opening a second location of Deadtime Stories inside the historic Courthouse Square Museum in Charlotte, and we need help raising funds for renovations, fixtures, and the like. Our first effort to collect capital is A Night at the Haunted Museum: A Build-a-Bookstore Fundraiser!

Want to hear some wild Michigan true crime history in the very place where the cases were tried?

Want to do some ghost hunting in a three-story courthouse-turned-museum that takes up an entire city block?

Want to score one-of-a-kind auction items like tickets to a murder mystery dinner or a private paranormal investigation?

Want a FREE autographed copy of Haunted Lansing? (Limited to the first 25 tickets sold.)

Want to win prizes and gift cards by participating in true crime trivia and a photo scavenger hunt?

Want to snack on yummy food while checking out our new space and helping us pick out paint colors and fixtures?

Our first Build-a-Bookstore fundraiser is just a week away- get your tickets today! (This also counts as my birthday party, technically, so come celebrate!)

When this happened last year, Koster's parole officer put a stop to it. Well, guess what? Brent Koster's parole ended last month. So now we've got a convicted serial killer just walking the streets of West Michigan with absolutely no supervision. Coolcoolcoolcool.

F**k a lawsuit. There's gotta be something these officers can be charged with. This is HORRENDOUS.

Anytime anyone asks me what cold case I would want to see solved, it was always this one. While this is certainly not the outcome anyone wanted, Kevin's family now has answers they've been waiting years for. 💔

UPDATE: At the request of the family, all fundraising efforts are on hold at this time. Please DO NOT bring gift cards to any of the drop-off locations. Everyone just wants to help, that's a sentiment we all share, but the wishes of the family must be honored above our desire to "do something." 🖤 If and when another fundraising effort is launched, we will keep everyone updated.

**************************

While it feels like we live at the bookstore, our actual home is in Wacousta, just around the corner from where a mass casualty incident occurred over the weekend. Our community is forever changed by this tragedy, and I know everyone just wants to help this family in whatever way they can. At this time, the family is requesting giftcards for essentials- to local restaurants, to Meijer, to gas stations. I have been in communication with their primary point of contact for this effort, a neighbor and witness to the accident. Effective immediately, the shop will be a drop-off point for anyone wanting to donate. Stop in anytime during open hours to drop off gift cards, and we will make sure they get to the family. Thank you.

We are located at 1132 S. Washington Ave. in Lansing's REO Town. We are open Wed-Fri 12-6, Sat 11-6, Sun 11-4. (Closed Mon/Tue.)
