🥁 Corky Laing - Montreal's own Corky Laing is best known as the drummer of the legendary band Mountain . Yes, as in "Mississippi Queen" which he co-wrote. Corky was also a member of the supergroup West, Bruce and Laing featuring Jack Bruce from Cream and his Mountain comrade Leslie West. Another of his projects Cork featured the bass talents of Noel Redding, famous for his work with Jimi Hendrix and Spin Doctor's Eric Schenkman on guitar.

😮 That in itself would be an incredible body of work. However, just recently released on vinyl for the first time is an album that was many years in the making and almost never saw the light of day at all. 🎸 Todd Whitener : Todd burst onto the scene selling more than 1.5 million records as guitarist of the band Days Of The New. He brought dazzling fretwork and vocal harmonies to DOTN's self-titled platinum selling debut which contained the hit songs "Touch, Peel And Stand", "Shelf In The Room" and "The Downtown". With a platinum album and a tour with Metallica under their belt, the future seemed bright for Days Of The New.

🤯 Then, singer Travis Meeks abruptly fired the entire band forcing Todd and his fellow band mates to resort to working menial jobs while they picked up the pieces. Todd and company battled back, signing to Maverick Records with their new band, Ta***ic, scoring hits with songs like "Astounded" "Mourning" and the Billboard #1 "Breakdown" .

💿 Under the name Whitener, Todd would go on to release several records. Now, he's joined forces once again with his former DOTN and Ta***ic band mates to form the band Blisskrieg with singer Donald Carpenter and release their debut album, Remedy.

🗣️ Todd and Kasey go in depth on the writing and recording of Remedy and focus in on several tracks, including the incredible lead single "Inside Me". Mr. Whitener also has some sound advice for harmony singers, gives a shout out to legendary pedal steel player, Van Coffee (George Jones) who played on the song, "Destination Unknown", talks slide guitar and the influence of Dean DeLeo of Stone Temple Pilots.
