Since it’s the 13th….

🔪 GUEST ANNOUNCEMENT: Lauren Marie Taylor

📺 Lauren would be well known to many of you horror hounds for her role as Vicki in Friday The 13th Part 2 or from In A Violent Nature. However, she’s also appeared alongside Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi in the 1981 comedy Neighbors, the holiday horror film He Sees You When You’re Sleeping (with Caroline Williams), the sorority slasher Girls Night Out and in more than 500 episodes of the soap opera, Loving (just to name a few).

🎙 Lauren joins Kasey to discuss everything from the infamous brown panties and doing battle with a blood capsule for her death scene in Friday The 13th Part 2 to what she was FORCED to and TRIED to tell director Steve Miner . When Kasey learns that Lauren and her co star Kirsten Baker would go for runs while shooting the film, he insists on seeing the footage and forms an icicle when discussing Kirsten’s chilly skinny-dipping scene. Lauren will also discuss her wild early years growing up in the Bronx, Halloween costumes and her quiet tour de force performance in the 2024 film, In A Violent Nature.

⏰ Air dates and times TBA soon.

📢 MASSIVE announcement still to come.

GUEST ANNOUNCEMENT: Amanda Krieg Thomas, the murderous music supervisor behind American Horror Story , American Horror Stories, Grotesquerie and so many more will be one of our gut wrenching guests as The Kasey Ferguson Show defies death and returns to the grisly scene with lucky Halloween 13!
🤘🎃🤘

🎙 Amanda will discuss her process of curating songs for American Horror Story and it's related shows, the 90's soundtrack boom, the struggle of work/life balance in a creative field, and the album she'd bring with her to a Halloween party. If you are a musician looking to get your music placed in television or film you should DEFINITELY listen to this episode. Amanda will give you some pointers from bonehead moves that music supervisors hate and how to prepare your work for sync to avoiding scams with placement agencies and maximizing opportunities.

🤔 You might be thinking, Kasey didn't this episode air already? The answer is no. While Amanda was included in last year's Halloween Special the episode was only aired in abbreviated form due to time constraints and issues with some of our former syndicated stations. So, this episode will be airing in it's FULL gory glory for the first time this spooky season!

🎧 Air dates and times to be announced soon so continue to watch our socials.

Caught the wife cheating on me...

😜

What a day! After the wife's cheap chicanery my luck only worsened. I got to the podcastle to find out that our project hit another speed bump and we'll be delayed another few days to a week. Nothing to be done about it on my end and truthfully, I don't even know what happened. At this point I wouldn't be surprised to find out that a member of our team was eaten by a giant squid or slain by a sock puppet vaguely resembling Vincent Price! 🦑🧦💀

On a slightly less morbid note, I'll begin announcing our lacerating lineup of gruesome guests as we prepare to deliver what may be the most dark and delicious heaping helping of Halloween ear candy we've ever produced. Heads aren't just going to roll...they're going to BANG! 🤘🎃🤘

07/10/2025

Little known fact, I’ve always had a thing for sunsets and sunrises. Sometimes, I’ll get away from my computer screen just long enough to enjoy one or the other outside the new podcastle. I did so tonight and tend to use these quiet moments to reflect on what a roller coaster ride I’ve been on and the wild chain of events that brought me to this place and this moment. That’s a story for another time. There are still ongoing talks about a documentary and I feel that either a doc or a book would be much more effective ways of telling such a tale, anyway. Plus, I’d just get myself banned from social media anyway, so why bother?! Here’s a quick(ish) update…

Rapscallions, tomorrow will be day 50 in a row without a day off. I walk to and from work each day which is about 4 miles round trip. So, I’m coming up on 200 miles over this stretch. I’ve got nearly 3000 hours into this soon to be announced project that I committed to last Halloween. I’ve worked every holiday since then. Christmas Eve? Yep. Christmas Day? Yes. New Year’s Eve? You bet. In fact, I worked Nov 11th to Feb 28th without taking time off. I’ve missed more birthdays, funerals, celebrations of life, dinner parties, summer barbecues (and I love me a good BBQ) than you can shake a stick at and pi**ed off damn near everyone I know at one point of another. My average shift is 16 hours (if you include the walk). However, if you think I am complaining, you couldn’t be more wrong. There’s nowhere I’d rather be.

This project saved my life. It has given me a renewed sense of purpose and a place to channel my angst, heartbreak and pain. The Kasey Ferguson Show had been that place for more than a decade but some of those trials and tribulations were direct results of trying to move the ball forward and running into roadblocks. I’d go over or through a wall only to find another one waiting on the other side. I was going to walk away and THAT is when a friend intervened. He simply said “I think you’ve just had the wrong business partners”.

My friend may well be right. Look, I haven’t come on social media and bashed these people and I’m not about to start now. I’m not blaming anyone. We gave it a shot. For a while, things even looked promising. Ultimately, it didn’t work. Perhaps, it just wasn’t the right fit. Better to try and fail than never try at all, right?

Anyway, my friend and I had some discussions to see if we were aligned in our vision of what this project could be. We came to an agreement and I got the offer I had been waiting for. This is a person who I feel has demonstrated their integrity with a proven track record of approaching their business dealings with the same ideals and passion that I expect of myself. You’ll meet him soon, that is…if you haven’t already.

So, I’m happy to make the trips to the office, even in the rain. I'm happy to work these hours. I can’t wait to get here every day and I absolutely hate to leave. I'm beyond grateful. I’m doing some of the best work of my career and I think a lot of that has to do with finding the right tag team partner. Iron sharpens iron and if you want to roll with the big dogs, you can’t p**s like a pup.

That big announcement I’ve been talking about? It’s happening this week. So, hang on to something nailed down.

For now, I’ll leave you with some words from the immortal Tom Petty…

I rolled on, the sky grew dark
I put the pedal down to make some time
There's somethin' good waitin' down this road
I'm pickin' up whatever is mine

I'm runnin' down a dream
That never would've come to me
Workin' on a mystery
Goin' wherever it leads

A dirty dozen years I've been covering the Kingston Ribfest And Craft Beer Show, now. I'd like to tell you, I've learned a few things over the years....I'd LIKE to tell you that. 😜🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🐍🥴

I'm kidding of course, mostly because I'm an incorrigible wise ass incapable of using social media for anything but toilet paper. Believe it or not, after two days of getting "nicely irrigated with horizontal lubricant" with Paniza Brewing, Bancroft Brewing Co. , The Local Brewery, Broadhead Brewery, Founder's Original (and several other brewers/distillers) I was actually EARLY for work today!

Once the prosecution is done with with my interviews (or "evidence" as they called them), maybe I'll play 'em for you on a future episode of the show. My thanks to Impact Events Group Inc. for the invite and bail money.🍻

For now, past episodes of The Kasey Ferguson Show are still airing in syndication with stations in Sweden (Northern Metal Radio), the U.S. (Castle Blakk Radio) and Canada (Star Radio International) so, pour that into your ears and drink it!...or don't...my check liver light is on so, you probably shouldn't listen to me, anyway. 🎧

I'VE MOVED! OK...well, the show has. Technically, I still LIVE at the fool infected funny car that is Motel Ferguson but The Kasey Ferguson Show moved into it's new home at Fractal Workspace last Wednesday! I've been busier than Jack Black's eyebrows since I got here so it took until now to get a post up. OK, perhaps The Simpsons Arcade Game had a LITTLE to do with it. 😜

🤔 Now you might be thinking, is that picture crooked? No...but I AM! It's not a limp, it's a gangsta lean! 🤪

🎙 NEW episodes are coming soon along with that MASSIVE announcement that I've been promising for the better part of a year! Why the delay? Logistics mostly. It's a long story but the office wasn't the only thing that was being upgraded. Rome wasn't built in a day, so hang on to your headphones! For now, what I can tell you is that'll be hearing a lot more from me very soon.
🤘😛🤘

Happy hump day, rapscallions. 🍻

The Kase Of Spades

P.S. In the meantime, The Kasey Ferguson Show is still airing in syndication with stations in Sweden (Northern Metal Radio), the U.S. (Castle Blakk Radio) and Canada (Star Radio International) if you need a fix 🎧

The Kasey Ferguson Show – Remix – Episode – 2

Interview
🎤 Brendon Small - Brendon is perhaps best known as the co-creator of the animated series Metalocalypse and Home Movies . He composed and performed all of the music in both of those shows including the music for the virtual metal band Dethklok .The bands second record Dethalbum II reached No. 15 on the Billboard 200, making it the highest charting death metal album in history.

🎸 Brendon has also released signature guitars with Gibson and Epiphone and even directed the "Black Rain" video for Soundgarden.

👂 This interview from the crypt sees Brendon discuss his (then) new album Galaktikon II: Become The Storm , working with Grammy winning producer Ulrich Wild (White Zombie, Pantera, Deftones) , his comic book, the making of The Dethalbum and setting the record straight about the cancellation of Metalocalypse.

⚠️**This interview was originally recorded for Kasey’s FM show and is airing for the first time ANYWHERE in more than 7 YEARS as part of the earsplitting international radio event that is Halloween In May 3! Kasey has reanimated, remastered and revamped this brutal back and forth and created a brand new Haunted House Of Rock Remix episode around it to air EXCLUSIVELY as part of the event, meaning it is NOT available to listen to in syndication, on streaming services or any other platform.

🤘 Music

CHILDREN OF BODOM – ARE YOU DEAD YET?
IN FLAMES – I, THE MASK
ICE NINE KILLS – THE SHOWER SCENE
KILLSWITCH ENGAGE – END OF HEARTACHE (RESIDENT EVIL VERSION)
CRADLE OF FILTH – NYMPHETAMINE (FIX)
SLIPKNOT – PSYCHOSOCIAL
LAMB OF GOD – ILL DESIGN
TRIVIUM – LIKE LIGHT TO THE FLIES
ALL THAT REMAINS – BEFORE THE DAMNED, AND DEATH IN MY ARMS
PARKWAY DRIVE – PREY
GALAKTIKON II – MY NAME IS MURDER
DETHKLOK – AWAKEN, BRIEFCASE FULL OF GUTS

🎙 Special Guest Co-Hosts – Benner and Kells from Black Fawn Distribution’s 90s Night join Kasey to discuss horror influenced animation ranging from Ghostbusters and Beetlejuice to The Simpsons Treehouse Of Horror, Tales From The Cryptkeeper, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Gargoyles and MANY more.

💀 Death Match: Kasey “The Poll Bearer” Ferguson tasks Benner and Kells with deciding the fates of horror related favorites. It’s a fight to the death as Alice Cooper takes on KISS, Black Sabbath battles Ozzy’s solo career and Dokken’s “Dream Warriors” riffs of against Alice Cooper’s “He’s Back (The Man Behind The Mask)".

🩸 As the blood begins to spatter, several other questions and topics emerge. Benner is haunted by David Suzuki (even though he’s still alive), lusts after the Beetlejuice Vanishing Vault play set and still invites Oogie Boogie Man to Christmas every year. Which animated character adorns Kells’ work socks? Why is she the “Arn Anderson of Black Fawn Distro”? 90’s movie soundtracks, nostalgia, and more as our terror trio chop it up, 90s style.

🍹 Creepy Cocktail: Kells has prepared a killer concoction for Halloween In May called the “Halfway To Hell”. Kasey and Benner are curious as to the black vodka that Kells used in her recipe and question whether or not it’s simply Jager masquerading as vodka.

🦇 PLUS: Siri’s bat-faced cousin, Miri continues to terrorize Kasey by summoning the ghost of Charles Grodin to repeatedly punch him in the neck! Kasey curses Children Of The Corn’s cob suckin’ sequels and the day he bought Miri the necronomicon for Christmas as he endures vicious neck punching attacks by the apparition from the cast of Beethoven. 👻🤜💥🤬
