Saving lives
All around the world, people are recovering COVID-19. Now, some of them are able to share their antibodies by donating convalescent plasma so others can have a better chance, too. Among them, Brittany, a convalescent plasma donor from one of our centers in Fayetteville, NC. Here is why she decided to donate.
Brittany has a 13-year-old daughter and a 6-year-old son. She works in Healthcare, specializing in Case Management. Brittany enjoys crafting, music, and dancing. She decided to join the Convalescent Plasma Program after seeing an ad for our plasma centers. Brittany says that the staff was great, very professional, and informative during her first donation. She wants to save lives and hopes that she can encourage others to do the same. Brittany hopes her donation can possibly aid other COVID patients in their recovery and to help end the current situation. She said about donating plasma with the Convalescent Plasma Program, “There’s nothing to it but to do it! It’s a win-win!”
Thank you, Brittany, for helping to beat COVID-19.
Convalescent plasma is donated by those who are fully recovered from the COVID-19 virus. By sharing the antibodies in their plasma, we can make medicine for those still sick.
