I was lucky enough to have someone in my life that loved me and I knew it. My dad, he called me the JC, I called him Bill. Depending on how you knew him, he was William Hoehne, Wilhelm von Hoehenzollern or Crown Prince Von Hohenzollern or Crown Prince for short.

Thank you to everyone that has been there for me, it is only now I can post and no I'm not tagging you since some of you hate to be tagged but you know who you are.

He was my world. My best friend, business partner and the wind beneath my wings. He kept me on my toes, a photographic memory does that to you, his not mine. He imagined the possibilities and loved to work. It is what drove him and me. He was always happiest when working and knew how to make me look like in a deer in headlights as I would get overwhelmed by the ideas he was dreaming up. After our success at the Cannes Film Festival several months ago he told me "we've already accomplished it, what else do we have to live for?" To which I replied, you might have 6 Emmys, but I have none, add to that a Golden Globe, Grammy or Oscar. He then set out on a plan for each.

He lived a full life with stories of Clark Gable, John Wayne, Elizabeth Taylor, Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley. They all sounded remarkable but then he would should me where he was in a movie or someone I didn't know would tell me memories or I would find people coming up to take pictures. He would tell me he was proof of nepotism and in the days of the studio system they didn't believe in babysitters so he would be on set with family.

He was always encouraging me, not through rose colored glasses but through possibilities. Always young at heart, growing up he said he don't know anyone older than 40 so he didn't know what old was like.
I am still at a loss for words as to what to say (and I didn't event get to his military background and Vietnam days) but I will say Admiral and Tonto and those that know will know.

We were working on over 31 projects, some of his biggest passion projects were our mini movie series were he wanted to give actors the opportunity to show their skills as actors. We are currently working on "Till Be Determined" and "Rock Your Shakespeare" with love and sequel in the wings.

Two of his biggest passion projects are "All Words do Matter" and "Memories of a Dinosaur." The first is about words and their importance aimed as a documentary. The second a homage to those in Hollywood who have stories to share who have often been forgotten. If you would like to contribute your stories, email to [email protected]

In his words, he described himself as "Old but still writing music and doing animation,and daddy was a prince before me. With my title and 4 dollars you can get a shaken cup of iced lemonade at a Starbucks.And for those that don't already know it a card carrying former news director."

You are in my heart and in my soul. Your spirit lives on in me. I love you dad and will make you proud.

We have 3 films that will be in Cannes! One in the doc corner - "Afternoon with John Michael Capaldi" another short film "A Mini Movie" and our 5D submission the "Cee J Slide" is part of Cannes Animation Festival. - I just found out and am still pinching myself...Thanks to all the hard work by Crown Prince Von Hohenzollern and Montebubbles and the old lady herself Cee J without whom the slide could not have been done.
