My #1 dream is to travel the world. I would be perfectly content being a drifter around my earthly home. A little more about that dream later. But first, let me show you a few pics of the Bahamas from last year! I had never been on a 'real' vacation as such until last year. We decided to take a 7 day cruise to the Bahamas. Alicia now has another problem. Her glucose levels are through the roof! This is due to the steroids they are giving her, and hopefully will be temporary. The poor child now needs to check her blood glucose and get insulin shots. She doesn’t like the insulin shots and insists that if she lives off salad she can avoid them. She quickly learned that it’s just not that easy, especially when you’re on high doses of steroids that give you a ravenous appetite! [ 701 more words. ]

Two days into our hospital stay Alicia was moved to the PICU. Her NIFs (negative inspiratory force) were decreasing. She became pale and was having trouble breathing. The neurologist said that this was due to the lesions on her spinal cord. She had a couple in the cervical area that would affect her breathing. Her lesions were so extensive that they were affecting her in many ways. [ 794 more words. ]

Upon admission my daughter had no less than 15 doctors, nurses, and residents milling around her asking questions and doing exams. There was definitely a sense of urgency in the room. On the inside I was scared as my mind was cluttered with all the possibilities at what could be wrong with her. On the outside I smiled and looked at ease as much as I could so that Alicia wouldn’t be afraid. [ 526 more words. ]

I have always considered our family of 7 to be as normal as any other family. We have a mom, dad, kids, and pets. Your average family structure, right? Working parents, twin girls with basketball practice and Girl Scout events, rotten pets and frenzied suppers. The same things every day. An uneventful family lifestyle. That’s one thing about life though. You get comfortable. [ 396 more words. ]

All of my life I have ignored my true passion which is writing. Baby steps. My first step is my own blog. I created a page that will also have blog links. I sent invites to like my page. One thing that has stopped me from following my dream of being a writer, is fear. I am always thinking I am not good enough, despite being an A student and many compliments from professors. Please like my page and visit my blog https://blogglemyminddotcom.wordpress.com (not much there yet, just started).

UPDATE 5/5/2018
I let 2 years pass, wow! Ok, going to try to stick with it this time! I am terrible about starting and not following through with things! Scatterbrain to the max!!

Tidbits out of my 'write' mind!
