Oh no, we missed the international cat day yesterday! 🐈 But better late than never, here is a tribute to all cute and smart cats.
In the book "Saga learns Japanese" there is a sweet but sad part about Naomi's cat Neko. From the book:
"In Naomi's room, an entire wall is covered with animal pictures, mostly cats.
"I love cats," she shares. "I used to have my own cat named Neko. That means 'cat.' It was a white female cat, and she was really cute. She used to sleep in my bed." Naomi suddenly becomes serious.
"But then, my dad suddenly developed a severe allergy, and we had to give her away to another family. That was the saddest day of my life..."

The beautiful picture of Neko is made by Swedish artist Maria Manuela Vintilescu, and the Japanese calligraphy by sensei Hiroko Kimura.
