Pancreatic cancer remains a major therapeutic challenge, highlighting the need for new approaches to limit tumour growth and progression. A recent study investigated the anticancer effects of chlorogenic acid (CA) in pancreatic cancer cells and explored the underlying molecular mechanisms.

๐Ÿ”ฌ The findings showed that CA suppressed cancer cell proliferation, colony formation, migration, and invasion while promoting apoptosis in PANC-28 and PANC-1 cells. Mechanistically, CA modulated the AKT/GSK-3ฮฒ/ฮฒ-catenin signalling pathway, alongside increased expression of apoptosis-related proteins, suggesting a potential molecular basis for its anticancer activity.

These findings highlight chlorogenic acid as a promising natural compound for further investigation in pancreatic cancer research.
