Both sides have given different accounts, and the viral video only shows part of what happened.

On August 4, Israeli musician Rami Feinstein was ordering food for his family at a Burger King in Pennsylvania while wearing a Star of David.

According to Feinstein, the employee taking his order, Arianna Hamilton, asked where he was from. After he answered that he was Israeli, Hamilton responded, “Free Palestine.” Feinstein recorded her repeating the phrase, requested a refund, and left.

He later shared the video online and questioned whether Burger King was a safe place for Jewish customers.

Burger King apologized and said it has zero tolerance for antisemitism, while the franchise owner fired Hamilton the same day.

Hamilton has disputed the characterization of the incident, saying she was expressing a political opinion rather than promoting hatred.

Since the video went viral, supporters have rallied around Hamilton, with strangers reportedly donating more than $185,000 to her.

Shaq discovered Jordan Wilmore after one thing caught his attention — jealousy.

That’s how Shaquille O’Neal describes hearing about the 7-foot-3 recruit. He joked that he thought he was the tallest and best-looking cop around until someone sent him a story about Wilmore.

O’Neal has held reserve and honorary positions with several police departments over the years, so the story immediately caught his interest.

What he found was a young man who had completed the police academy, only to see his career plans collapse because of a single mark.

O’Neal decided to step in, offering to cover Wilmore’s living expenses for five months while he worked to get back on his feet.

His reasoning was simple: he admired Wilmore for wanting to become a police officer, and O’Neal has often spoken about his respect for law enforcement and the officers who influenced his own life.

Before leaving, Shaq gave Wilmore one more message: he would be checking in on him.

One police officer used Flock cameras to run his ex-girlfriend’s license plate 200 times — simply to keep tabs on her.

The officer, a police chief in Kansas, also searched the license plate of his ex’s new boyfriend. He eventually resigned over the misuse of the system.

In California, another officer used surveillance cameras during a months-long campaign targeting his former fiancée. He was ultimately sentenced to six years in prison.

In the Kansas case, the officer reportedly conducted around 200 searches using a single login, without needing a warrant to access the system.

He is among at least 26 officers who have lost their jobs over alleged misuse of Flock surveillance technology.

What was designed as a tool for public safety can become something very different when the people with access use it for personal surveillance.

Nobody ever explained why Trump’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star was smashed for a second time.

Police had little to go on: the man responsible admitted what he had done, reported the incident himself, and gave authorities no clear explanation for why he destroyed the star.

The first vandal had a very different motive.

He said he wanted to remove Trump’s entire star from the ground and auction it off, with the proceeds going to women who had accused Trump of misconduct.

The older man later said he was surprised that someone copied his actions and expressed support for the younger man’s cause. But he also argued that people should use their votes to express political opposition rather than destroy public property.

Both men were released from jail, and the Hollywood star was repaired after each incident.

Despite being attacked twice, Trump’s star remains in place.

More than 70 police community events were held across New York City that night. One quickly became national news.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani was booed while speaking at a police community event on Staten Island on Tuesday.

Around 3,500 people had gathered at Midland Beach for the event. Mamdani spoke for less than a minute before smiling, wishing the crowd a good evening, and stepping away as some attendees shouted for him to leave.

Staten Island was the only borough Mamdani lost in the mayoral election, receiving just 23% of the vote there.

Despite the reception, Mamdani remained afterward to take photos with attendees.

Earlier that evening, he had joined the police commissioner at two other events as part of more than 70 police gatherings held across the city. During those appearances, he praised NYPD officers while highlighting recent declines in crime.

For a mayor who has faced skepticism from some police supporters, the Staten Island reception offered a very different picture of his relationship with the borough.
