"Jack Mullaney was a dear man and good friend of my Mom’s who came over to our house quite often for dinner as he was single. He was delightful. He starred in 2 movies with Elvis Presley. Jack, as many actors experience, did not always have a reliable car and had to take the bus sometimes. Well, it turns out that one day Jack was sitting on a bench waiting for a bus in Hollywood when Elvis drove by and saw him waiting. The next day, Elvis delivered a brand new Mustang to Jack’s house. It just showed up with Elvis’ message “So you won’t have to wait for a bus ever again!” Needless to say Jack was flabbergasted and so incredibly grateful! So, all those stories of Elvis’ generosity were quite true. What an amazing gift!"

📕 The 40 Rules of Love:
One day, according to legend, Rumi was reading next to a large stack of books. Shams Tabrizi, passing by, asked him, “What are you doing?” Rumi scoffingly replied, “Something you cannot understand.”

On hearing this, Shams threw the stack of books into a nearby pool of water. Rumi hastily rescued the books and to his surprise they were all dry. Rumi then asked Shams, “What is this?” To which Shams replied, “Mowlana, this is what you cannot understand.”
