Dear Lobsang Wangyal la,

Tashi Deleck and warm greetings! I am so saddened and disappointed to see your announcement about the winding up of our much cherished media Tibet Sun which you as a great innovator built some 13 years ago. If it shuts as you have announced, this will be a big loss to our entire struggle and cause. Because, today Tibet Sun is not just about LW as an individual. It is, rather, about the entire Tibetan Cause and its struggle.

Launched on 8/8/2008 at 8:08am, Tibet Sun today completes 13 years of continuous publication. unfortunately it is time to end, and that too at such a young age. We believe it is not feasible or viable to keep it going any more. Sorry to disappoint some of our regular readers, but there is no hope or scope for the current management to continue Tibet Sun.

I am hopeful that everyone involved in this will do everything in their capacity to move past this stalemate. The stakes are way too high for us not to tackle this issue with utmost urgency. Anything less is a disservice to our cause and struggle that we simply can not afford.
