As many of us are heading into a new school year, here’s a good reminder to consider!

Instead of trying to force our kids to learn something when they’re clearly not ready, what if we back off a bit?

When we push skills on our kids and feel their resistance, it’s time to pause. Because when our kids aren’t ready and we don’t honor this, everything becomes painful and our kids hate learning.

Instead, we can slow down, create space, and revisit teaching these skills when our kids are ready. This is when we feel connected and our kids enjoy learning.

This review touched upon one of the most important reasons (if not THE most important reason!) we wrote our book!

Connection.

We wanted to write the book that we wish we’d had when we started homeschooling.

A book that would support parents and let them know that they aren’t alone.

A book that would emphasize that we’re all in this together.

A book that supports families as they pursue the best educational paths for their unique circumstances, needs, and desires.

When we receive book reviews like this, we are overjoyed and so grateful. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Have you read “Think Differently About Learning”? If so, what was your favorite chapter?

Connection is where it’s at!

When we prioritize connection with our kids, respect, curiosity, and wonder thrive. Talk about rich and meaningful learning!

What are ways that you connect with your children? We’d love to know what forms of connection have been meaningful for you. ❤️

What if your kids are just where they need to be right now?

When you worry that you’re not doing enough, what would happen if you leaned into trusting the process of learning and growing together?

Embracing curiosity, creativity, and connection offer an incredible foundation for learning.

What does being expansive and inclusive mean you you?

What does it mean to your kids?

When we take the time to co-create learning goals with our children, we’re letting them know that we value their interests, dreams, and goals.

When we stay open to goals that aren’t on our list, we allow ourselves to open up to possibility, curiosity, and wonder.

Sounds like a great way to embrace an expansive and inclusive way of living and approaching education!
