"TWERPS - I'm Stupid EP

These guys definitely have an appropriate band name. The TWERPS from Western Mass play fantastically snotty and trashy punk'n'roll. East Coast garage garbage meets West Coast hardcore and its all really fu***ng good. I bet if I saw these guys live I'd be soaked in beer and there'd be someone bleeding by the end of the set. They play the type of misanthropic punk that will never go out of style. Lyrics are of the introspective / self-loathing variety with hints of juvenile humor that definitely put a smile on my face. An excellent record that left me wanting more.

GLOBSTERS - "Rock and Roll Misery" EP

Where the hell is Hazard, KY?! This recording sounds exactly like what it is: the inside of one punk kid's brain in the middle of Nowheresville, totally making it up as he goes along. With flip-the-f**k-out vocals laid over sampled hardcore tracks, GLOBSTERS is cacophonous, f**ked-up and foul. Like a punk rock DANIEL JOHNSTON! (FF)
