On her approach to the spot, Nikki shares:
“Golf isn’t just a sport of skill and technique. It’s a process, and a deeply sensory experience.
There’s the feel of the ball. The sound at impact. The breeze through the fescue. Shadows stretching just right at golden hour. Dew spinning off your shot as you carve the first line down the fairway. The thud of a divot. Dirt and sand packed into your grooves. The spray from a bunker.
Golf is a textured, three-dimensional experience. That’s what I want to capture here.
Most spots rely on VO to speak to the viewer. This one doesn’t. It speaks on a more visceral, elemental level. We feel the experience. What are usually insert shots become our hero shots. These details are the story.
And because we’re staying grounded in the moment, we’re not leaning on music either. For golfers, these moments aren’t just familiar, they’re foundational. Golf isn’t a loud game. But these small moments speak volumes when paired with thoughtful sound design and the right visuals. It’s those quiet, powerful details that define the game.”
