A skin for my daughter
Meat for us
Bones and bits for chickens and compost.
I was never taught to hunt, fish, skin or process any kind of animal for food. For the most part, I have been self taught or taught from the great wise, elder YouTube 😂
It feels good to try make this a priority in our family and show my daughter, another way of doing things.
I definitely have a lot of jealousy I’m working through for those that were shown this way of living from a young age.
I feel somewhat clunky and uncoordinated as I work my way through these teachings.
But each time I have a go, I learn something new, I feel myself grow, and I feel more accomplished, whole.
May our young ones all have this basic skill set going forward!
