When the Mystic Meets the Alchemist💫

On October 22nd, the heavens open a powerful doorway of renewal as Neptune returns to Pisces and the Sun enters Scorpio — blending the sacred with the shadow, compassion with courage, and surrender with transformation.

Neptune, the planet of dreams, spirituality, and divine connection, slides back into its home sign of Pisces, reminding us that not everything needs to be understood by the mind to be deeply known by the soul. The Sun in Scorpio.

⚠️ Watch for the feels today - Moon square Pluto. The Moon is coming off of the New Moon as it squares up to Pluto.

As I was looking at the chart of the day I saw this and knew it was worth a bit of writing.

I was born during a Moon and Pluto square, so it is a difficult chart signature I am familiar with, and have worked very hard through in my own personal chart.

It can be fairly emotionally triggering, and while brief as the Moon moves quickly, it packs a punch.

Often it creates growth through crisis, and power and control issues can be brought through emotional instability, and intensity.

Scorpio Moon is already a very intense placement where it's need for security and emotional depths can be challenged by interpersonal conflict (within us, or through the encounters of others).

While Scorpio/Pluto often battle themes around self-control/control Pluto in Aquarius challenges themes around that control in contrast to freedom.

The shadow work in particular usually points to old emotional traumas and unhealthy attachments surfacing to be purged. It's a constant invitation to to face emotional truths. Often the reasoning if for personal transformation. Quite a bit can bubble up during this time.

With the abundance of emotional energy in the air with the grand trine it can also boil over into emotional tipping points, and the Chiron T-square emotionality and our own wounds are being prodded and salted.

Aquarius, is very good at detachment and reinvention of the self. This could be the key to resolving or negating the Pluto Moon square.

The biggest challenge we may face natally (being born under this influence) or with this fleeting energy is the balance of empathy and power. The challenge is to evolve from power struggles (emotional manipulation, secrecy, jealousy) into empowerment through emotional intelligence. This is where the true strength and resiliency is born from with this aspect.

When mastered, this can create profound social healers, trauma-informed advocates, and visionaries who understand both human vulnerability and systemic change.

With Jupiter currently in Cancer - Jupiter is exalted but is feeling the squeeze of Chiron and the Moon, and the Moon square Pluto. We can resort to emotional overprotectiveness and/or moral justification and superiority over others. Often, unintentionally - and reopening wounds. It can end up we smother rather than nurture, or act on ultra tender sore spots.
