An update on our Christmas short film 'The Yard' Not only was it screened in L.A recently as part of the 'Q***r Here' film festival but we've just won a GOLD award at the Florence Film Festival. Truly delighted for the whole team & HUGE thanks to these lovely International Film Festivals who embrace art and the art of creating films ❤️

Good afternoon & Happy Winter Solstice! Here it is folks- Hazel Tree Pictures/Country Star Productions Christmas short film 'The Yard' shot entirely on location at the Yard Garden/Cafe here in sunny Moseley! The film is dedicated to my dear friend Neil Kulkarni whom we suddenly lost earlier this year. You can hear his beautiful vocals on the closing track 'We can't spoil Christmas ' by The Moonbears ❤️ I consider myself an ally of the LGBTQIA community and felt they were underrepresented when it came to Christmas films. This is us making amends. I'm sure Neil would have approved. Huge thanks to the team behind this! You're ALL beautiful! Love & light to you all! Merry Christmas 🎄 🌈

Some screen grabs from our latest short 'The Yard' in collaboration with Country Star Productions .Gary & I have always wanted to do a Christmas film and we finally got the right script & location. We used a iPhone pro max in ProRes HQ Log/58 mm add on lense as a test to see it's capabilities & quite frankly we are blown away.
The results are astonishing!

Huge thanks to Gary, Dom, Thomas, Emily, Sofia, Chloe & Maddie for helping us create a beautiful inclusive Christmas short film & also a HUGE thanks to the Yard garden cafe in Moseley for being the ideal, magical xmas location!

Afternoon all. Here it is folks! Hazel Tree Pictures 'The Beauty of It' short film. Enjoy ALL glorious 9 mins & 54 seconds of it! My first directed film was a real trial by fire BUT with the assistance of a tremendous team WE pulled it off with flying colours! HUGE thanks to EVERYONE who made it possible. Each frame, each second and each music beat was carefully composed to create a pop art, 1960s, Peter Sellers, Britt Ekland, Bardot homage! Love it! Share it! Enjoy it!

Here we go! A lovely selection of photos courtesy of Peter Allen taken on the evening of the 'Youth of Nature' charity screening. As you can see we had a full house of lovely Moseley folks (and beyond) AND we managed to raise a FANTASTIC £400 for MAGC & AAOTP. HUGE thanks for your generosity and support of the event. The film was so well received and there was real love in the air. BIG thanks to everyone who helped put this event together. Amazing people! It's SO important to support local charities/ organizations when you can. Much love and peace to you all! See you at the next one😉x

Update: Last Sunday we continued filming a pivotal scene for 'Saudade' short film at the Night Owl in Digbeth, Birmingham. The scene required a certain ambience and I think we've really achieved that. The first two images are early cut screen grabs courtesy of the maestro that is our cinematographer Gary-Anthony Rogers and the rest are bts shots courtesy of the marvelous Kevin Totts. HUGE thanks to both and also HUGE thanks to Mazzy Maryam Snape and co at the Night Owl for accommodating us in such a generous fashion. The film is really beginning to take shape. There are ALOT more images and if you want to see them then please head over to the film's IMDB page shortly where they will be uploaded soon. It's all coming along beautifully thanks to some wonderful team work!
