What a Wonderfully Crazy Release Day 🐧🌙 Less than 24 Hours of my new project “Penguin on the Moon” being released, my track ‘FIGHTING’ I made with & was added to the second top spot of one of the biggest Apple Music R&B Playlists in the WORLD “Brown Sugar” 😱🥂😭🌎 I Scared my Mom so bad with my reaction when I saw it while we were out to lunch 🤣 Then a couple hours later we were added to another Major Playlist on Apple Music “Grown N Sexy” 🥶🤓 If I didn’t have that Uncle Lou status yet, this solidified that 💀
I had so much confidence it the quality of this track everyone around me knew it. I would constantly say, ‘FIGHTING’ genuinely can hold up with the BEST R&B songs out in the WORLD right now - it just needs the exposure. Thank you God for placing it in the right hands with the curators over at Apple Music, it was finally heard by the right people 🙌🏼 & Thank you to Jon & Akeya for trusting me with the vision of this Record. Several versions were made of the track and I’m glad you guys trusted me to pick & make the right one. MAJOR TEAM WIN. It feels amazing to see the vision come into fruition with our track right next to the most successful R&B artists out right now.
Couldn’t have done this without the rest of the team as well 🙏🏼 for executive producing this project with me down to every detail to make this project a reality, for assisting with the engineering on this project, for helping me develop the image that truly helped the role out of this album with a cover that is now placed in the faces of listeners all around the world, & for being my safe haven studios while crashing out making this project 🤣 many late nights & early mornings making these songs between these studios they became my true homes.
