💙 Celebrating Value & Talent in Laurens County! 💙

On October 29, the community came together at The Ridge to honor National Disability Employment Awareness Month. The luncheon featured inspiring stories, special awards, and a keynote from Clinton High alum and Chick-fil-A owner Alphonso Richard, who shared insights on leadership, communication, and recognizing the value in every employee.

A highlight of the event: Spectrum’s $25,000 donation through their Community Center Assist program, supporting career training and opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Laurens County.

What better coaching job has been done in American college football this season than the one by Presbyterian College Head Coach Steve Englehart? Go ahead — we’ll wait.

From a program once mired in chaos and gimmicks to a 7-1 record and an 11-game winning streak, Englehart has led the Blue Hose back to respect, pride, and relevance. 💙🏈

He stepped into a program that had lost scholarships, players, and direction — and built it back the right way: with discipline, leadership, and belief.

Now, the Blue Hose are one of the best stories in college football. Two big games remain — Nov. 1 vs. Valpo and Nov. 22 vs. Marist (Senior Day) — both at Bailey Memorial Stadium.

Come see this team in action and witness what’s happening right here in Laurens County. You’ll leave proud to say you were there.
