Kanayo O. Kanayo is Not Just the ‘R!tual Man’, But a King Who Lifts Others. Growing up, we all knew his face — feared it even — because once Kanayo O. Kanayo showed up in a film, somebody’s blood was about to be used. But behind the screen, he’s not just an actor; he’s a king with the heart of a father.
I remember a time when people recognized my face but didn’t know my name. I felt invisible in the crowd. Then came a big break — an audition for a classic Nollywood film. Guess who was cast as the lead? The legend himself, Kanayo O. Kanayo.
After my audition, I heard him tell the director:
“That boy reminds me of myself when I started — give him the role.”
I was speechless. That one sentence changed everything.
