Genesis 39 – God Is With You, Even in the Pit
🌾 Devotional: “God Is With You – Even in the Pit” (Genesis Series, Entry #1)
📖 Genesis 39

There’s something powerful about knowing God is with you, even when everything around you says He’s not. In Genesis 39, Joseph finds himself in one trial after another — but the favor of God never leaves him.

🌟 Potiphar saw God's favor on Joseph and was blessed because of it. That’s what happens when people honor what God has placed on your life — they get blessed just being near you.

💬 But here comes Potiphar’s wife — out of order, manipulative, and bold in her deception. And Joseph? He stood in his knowing. He refused to compromise, even though it cost him everything. He didn’t bend. He stood.

💡 Ephesians 6 tells us: having done all, stand. And that’s what Joseph did. That’s what we’re called to do too — when falsely accused, misunderstood, pushed aside — stand.

And don’t miss this: God was with him even in prison.

✅ He was with Joseph when he was celebrated.
✅ He was with Joseph when he was betrayed.
✅ And He’s with you too — in the pit, in the mess, in the moment where things don’t make sense.

Because promotion doesn’t come from people. It comes from God.

🔁 What people mean for evil, God turns to good. So keep praying. Keep moving. Keep standing in your knowing. Because the same God who was with Joseph in the pit is preparing your next position — and He’s with you right now.

💭 Reflection Question:
Where are the "pits" in your life? Are you letting your light shine in them?

🛐 Prayer:
Lord, help me to stand in truth, resist temptation, and walk with integrity like Joseph. I may not understand the pit — but I trust You are preparing the palace. In Jesus' name, amen.

Look at God: When the Vision Rolls In

🎶 “Didn’t I Tell You I’d Make a Way?”

I don’t know who this is for — but I came to say: He will do what He said. Last year, my dear sister Ingrid told me she saw a big truck pulling up to my house. We didn’t know what it meant at the time, but we knew it was something. A symbol. A glimpse. A word. I had been praying: “Lord, how am I going to get my things up here? How can I afford this while preparing for school?” But I didn’t rush it. I waited. I trusted. And just like that — God moved.

🚛 Then Came the Trailer

My cousin’s husband — who just happens to own a trailer — said out of nowhere: “I’m in Dallas all the time. I’ll just load it up and bring it to you.” And just like that, the debt was lifted. No cross-country haul. No stress. No delay in my education. The truck is coming. Just like the vision said. “Before they call, I will answer…” — Isaiah 65:24

🙌🏽 Look at God.

- What was seen in the Spirit is showing up in the natural.

- What I couldn’t fix, God finished.- What I thought was out of reach is pulling up to my door. This is what happens when you wait on the Lord and trust the vision — even when it’s not clear yet.

“Lord, I praise You for the visions that don’t die. For the help, I didn’t have to hustle. For the doors I didn’t have to force. For the debt You canceled and the favor You confirmed. This is a glory move — and I receive it in full.”
