Taylor Swift groping case: DJ says photo with his hand behind singer is 'awkward'

Former disc jockey David Mueller has acknowledged that a photo of him with his hand behind Taylor Swift was “weird and awkward”, but denied touching her rear as the singer has alleged in the groping case.

During testimony on Wednesday at the civil trial in Denver, Swift’s attorney repeatedly asked Mueller, 55, why his right hand was behind Swift in a pre-concert photo op.

This Apple leak is like nothing we've ever seen before.

The company known around the world for secrecy is having a bad week, and, unfortunately for the Apple-can-do-no-wrong crowd, it has no one to blame but itself. That's because the largest leak to come out the Cupertino-based tech giant in some time was not the result of self-proclaimed supply chain insiders taking on Reddit, but rather a good old-fashioned employee screw up.

We speak, of course, of the pre-release HomePod firmware uploaded to a public server last week. According to The Guardian, this was only supposed to be disseminated internally, but, ya know, oops.

Amazon's Whole Foods merger may take longer than previously thought due to regulatory conceern

Whole Foods told its investors in June that the deal was expected to close late this year, but the companies reportedly warned that it could take until May of 2018.

The most recent potential roadblock came last week when the Federal Trade Commission began looking into a complaint claiming that the comparison prices Amazon uses to demonstrate savings to customers are misleading. No formal probe has been launched, but a source said the agency is working fast to meet a deadline in case it decides to take the next step towards one.

That's not the only potential political challenge. David Cicilline, a House Democrat from Rhode Island, has called for a congressional hearing on whether or not the deal violates competition laws meant to prevent any one company from amassing too much market power.

Chris Froome was booed in Yellow Jersey rival Romain Bardet’s back yard – but produced a stunning fightback to preserve his lead on the Tour de France , writes Mike Walters in Le Puy-de-Velay .

Froome looked like he would lose the leader’s maillot jaune when he suffered a broken spoke around 25 miles from home, moments after Bardet attacked. But his Polish wingman, Michal Kwiatkowski, saved the day by stopping to help change his back wheel in barely 30 seconds —proving you can’t get quicker than a Kwiat-Fit fitter.

The government has announced it is investing £16 million in a 5G test network, in an attempt to make the UK world leader in mobile technology.

Experts from three leading 5G research institutions - King’s College London and the Universities of Surrey and Bristol - will develop the trial the technology to make sure people and businesses can enjoy the benefits as soon as possible.

5G is expected to deliver reliable ultrafast mobile connectivity with the ability to process huge amounts of data and support complex applications predicted for tomorrow's mobile phones - for example, sending virtual reality 3D TV clips to mobile devices.

Google can be forced to pull results globally, Canada supreme court rules

Canadian courts can force Google to remove results worldwide, the country’s top court has ruled, in decision criticised by civil liberties groups that argue such a move sets a precedent for censorship on the internet.

In its 7-2 decision, Canada’s supreme court found that a court in the country can grant an injunction preventing conduct anywhere in the world when it is necessary to ensure the injunction’s effectiveness.
