The Maitree team is always grateful for the opportunity to spend time in research and development of new creative work. We recently had the opportunity to collaborate with Australian producer and choreographer Liz Lea Dance in a two-week R&D lab for new work '3' investigating how choreography and immersive tech can shape new languages of movement.

Maitree led the visual design development, working with creative technologists Steven Voon and Blackbody Emission to build real-time digital environments using LiDAR and motion capture. Performed by the powerhouse crew of Liz Lea, , , and Aida Redza, and supported with artistic consultancy from , the lab fostered exchange and experimentation between Australian and Malaysian artists. Special thanks to Think City for venue support during the lab. 💫
