One of the world’s most sought after 45s, created by 9-piece prison group ‘Upheaval’, who recorded the single in 1974 whilst serving at Wisconsin State Prison. The story goes this is one of 25 copies known to exist, mainly known for ‘Paradise Lost’, the flip contains one of the most evocative & haunting ballads.

We’ve teamed up with & two defining outlets for the preservation & celebration of local music & musicians through their curated record stores & bar.

This Saturday 3/9 Van Jones & Erwin Epps will be at from 7-8pm hosting a meet & greet; an opportunity to purchase and have signed the single they cut 50 years ago. The event will continue with local DJs playing VA sounds till midnight, selections by .the_sequel &

New year with a new release right around the corner. It's been a minute since we've posted & things have been busy behind the scenes, with a string of singles & Vol.4 of 'They Key To Our Love' lined up for 2024.

Equasions 'It's So Hard "To Say So Long"' & 'World Of Lonliness' will once again have its day, available as a limited 7" this February. It's been over 50 years since this song was initially released & we're working the man who created it to bring it back to your turntable.

The Key To Our Love compilation series is an in-depth exploration of Black & Brown American soul artists from back in the day.

Focusing on the sweeter side of these obscure singles, the album comprises of musicians who shared their hope & dreams through independent vinyl releases. The obscurity of these private pressed singles has limited their audience; originally released in small quantities and sold locally, the artists remained largely unknown but created some of the most poignant & timeless tracks.

Each song released in direct collaboration with the artists & producers, to highlight not only the sound but their story, as documented through the instagram page
