On or near the 15th or 16th of every month in 2025, we will post a holiday song for your listening enjoyment via YouTube.

This monthly segment usually highlights songs surrounding the time of year, a special event, or a theme of our choosing. Not this month. We went to our Christmas music archive and chose a letter. It was K, giving us 91 albums to choose from.

We chose a version of a song from an album entitled "A Swinging X-Mas With Friends" - a German jazz CD we picked from Amazon using the last $13 on one of their gift cards. Enjoy!

Earlier this week, I lost a beloved uncle in my family. Michael Martinez was one of 13 children growing up in south Chicago. He learned to play the piano in his teens and played with bands from the 1950s until 2024 when dementia took its toll.

He was 92. This track is dedicated to his memory.
