SIAVONGA CENTRAL ZONE SCHOOLS HOLD END-OF YEAR EXAMINATION BRIEFINGS

A crucial meeting was held at Siavonga Secondary School Hall to prepare teachers for the 2025 end-of-year final examinations. The briefing, attended by teachers from Siavonga Central zone schools, aimed to equip educators with essential information on the upcoming exams.

District Education Board Secretary, Mr. Mung'ambata Moses, led the briefing alongside other key officials, including District Education Standards Officer Mr. Mutoloki Mutinta ,Education Standards Officer General Inspection Officer Mr. Mote Mukunda and Education Standards Officer ODL Mr. Chilumba

ZICTA and Ministry of Education Empower Learners and Educators with E-Learning Platforms

The Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) and the Ministry of Education held a presentation on e-learning platforms for learners and educators at Siavonga Secondary School Hall, equipping participants with knowledge and skills to effectively utilize digital resources beyond the classroom.

The joint initiative introduced the e-learning Zambia platform, designed to enhance the country's education system through technology. The team demonstrated how to use the e-learning app, providing learners with hands-on experience and guidance on accessing educational resources. They also emphasized consumer protection and online safety, highlighting ways to identify and mitigate online challenges, including scams and cyber threats.

The presentation featured experts from ZICTA and the Ministry of Education, including: Jayne Chilumba, Corporate Communication Officer ZICTA, alongside Kalonde Mungomba, Sharon Nkumbwa, Chisanga Choombe, Nambela Minyoi, Emma Kapambwe, and Bwalya Chintu

SIAVONGA MP VISITS FISHING CAMPS TO UNDERSTAND THEIR CHALLENGES

Siavonga Member of Parliament, Darius Mulunda, visited Fishing Camps today to engage with residents and understand their challenges. The MP was accompanied by Luckson Soko, one of the WDC members, Headman Simabbodela, UPND District Chairlady Belita Mweebwa, and some UPND members.

During the visit, MP Mulunda updated residents on district issues and promised to address the water challenges in Fishing Camps. He attributed the positive development to the increased Constituency Development Fund (CDF) allocation of about K40 million, stating that the water issue would soon be a thing of the past in Siavonga, starting with Fishing Camps.

Residents expressed their grievances, citing water supply challenges due to SWASCO's failures. They also requested regular visits from their MP and called for the construction of a market in Fishing Camps.

MP Mulunda reassured residents of his commitment to their development, emphasizing the importance of President Hakainde Hichilema's leadership in driving progress. He urged residents to support the president's initiatives, highlighting the significance of continuity in leadership for the district's growth.

This visit is part of MP Mulunda's ongoing tour of Siavonga Constituency, where he is engaging with residents ward by ward. Fishing Camps is part of Kariba Ward, one of the 12 wards in Siavonga Constituency.
