Due to physical distancing and lockdown during the pandemic of , s*x workers' and transpersons' livelihoods are severely affected. Help Sangama raise funds to provide essentials to vulnerable comunities!

During this pandemic of COVID-19 with lockdown and physical distancing, the most affected are the most vulnerable in our communities - s*xworkers and transpeople - among them.

Our is , 's first trans woman broadcast journalist, who made her debut on Kairali News TV with her reportage on the separating from the -2 orbiter. The September 2 report was Saadiya's first assignment at the media organisation. While she joined Kairali for an internship, the company, impressed by her performance, soon offered her a post. Saadiya pursued a post-graduation course in electronic media from Trivandrum Institute of Journalism and is also the first trans woman journalist to graduate from the institute.

Gauri Sawant, transgender liberation activist from Mumbai, India

Gauri is the director of Sakshi Char Chowghi known for its remarkable work for transgender persons' empowerment and persons with HIV/AIDS. Gauri was also appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador of the Maharashtra Election Commission. She adopted her daughter who was orphaned after the death of her biological mother who was a s*x worker. We saw Gauri in a beautiful Vicks ad on the theme of motherhood.🌈
