I enjoyed the movies Alien and Aliens but lost interest in the other sequels...however, when I heard Noah Hawley was behind the TV series Alien Earth I had to check it out. Hawley created the Fargo TV series which is FANTASTIC and he did it again with Alien Earth. Still very much "Alien" with the sci-fi and scare and gore but such a great story, great cast, great pacing and I loved the Peter Pan elements. If you can handle aliens bursting out of human bodies and such, you'll enjoy Alien Earth.

F1 was a surprisingly enjoyable summer blockbuster. It’s a familiar story (Top Gun, The Natural, etc), but they did such a great job. Definitely check this out in theaters with a big screen and a great sound system. And Hans Zimmer‘s score is, as the kids say, tight.

I remember being so excited seeing The Goonies in theaters when I was 10 years old. Directed by Richard Donner (Superman), screenplay by Chris Columbus (Home Alone, Harry Potter), and executive produced by Steven Spielberg. My kids got me tickets to a screening of The Goonies for the 40th anniversary. Such a treat! It was great to see it on the big screen again!

Go see Thelma! Such a sweet, funny, sad, satisfying film. A nice change of pace.
