I went vintage postcard shopping in Boston and ended up spending hours flipping through boxes of old cards from the early and mid-1900s.

Each one felt like a small time capsule—some with faded images of Fenway or long-gone streetcars, others with handwritten notes that made me wonder about the people who sent them.

I found a few with postmarks from the 1920s and 30s, the ink still just barely legible. There was something grounding about holding these small pieces of someone else’s everyday life.

It made the city feel layered in a way I hadn’t quite noticed before.
