If you know me then you know I am fond of the Protectron robots from Rob-co in the Fallout franchise. I was bored one evening and had my iPad handy so got to work on a green protectron design.

As an individual who does both digital and physical art - its EXTREMLY frustrating when someone claims something is AI generated. There is NOTHING AI about this video in any way shape or form.

Here’s another delightful throwback to the golden age of vintage gaming - consoles, games, and accessories galore. Judging by those catalogue numbers, this page hails from Argos, the iconic UK catalogue retailer that’s been serving customers since 1972 and continues to do so today. This particular advert likely dates back to around 1994 or 1995.

It showcases a range of nostalgic SEGA gaming systems, bundles, and accessories:
- Sega Mega Drive 2 Bundles
- Sega Mega CD 2 Bundles
- Sega Master System II
- Sega Game Gear Bundles
- The Menacer Gun

The Sega Mega CD 2 was a CD-ROM add-on for the Mega Drive, released in the UK circa 1994. It offered enhanced audio and video capabilities, though it came at a premium.

To put things into perspective, here’s what those prices would roughly equate to in today’s money: (Todays money shown with ~)

- Sega Mega Drive 2 – £89 (~£184) to £119 (~£246)
- Sega Mega CD 2 – £195 (~£403) to £339 (~£701)
- Sega Master System II – £44.50 (~£92)
- Sega Game Gear – £67 to £89.50 (~£139 to £185)
- The Menacer Gun – £34.50 (~£71)

With those adjusted figures, it’s easy to see why the Sega Mega CD didn’t become a household staple - it was quite the investment! Still, it remains a fascinating piece of gaming history.

Though the company sadly closed its doors in 2018, every so often, a little piece of its legacy resurfaces - like this charming catalogue advert from around 1986.
