My friend Sandy Murray shared via her Facecbook page: It is with much sadness that I share, Howard Packett passed away yesterday June 7th. He was 92 years young when he died yesterday and a year ago he was still driving. He was following everything going on in the area and was sharp as a tack and funny as hell until the very end. He died peacefully and did not suffer, other than missing his dear sweet Jane.
Howard was a truly inspirational man, a model for a life well lived. Our profession, community, and world are better because Howard was a part of it.
