Location of the week: Wat Arun, Bangkok

Almost opposite Wat Pho on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, Wat Arun is one of Bangkok’s best-known landmarks. Though it’s often referred to as the Temple of Dawn, the classic view of it is at sunset from the east bank of the river, when the central prang towers above the skyline.

Location of the week: El Duende bar, Cusco

The bar is best known for its pitchers of té piteado. This is hot black tea spiked with Pisco or rum. On a cold night in Cusco (all nights in Cusco are cold and more so June - August) it’s the perfect drink! El Duende means “the gnome” in Spanish.
