Call Me a Tease Records LLC was founded in the cold and dark winter of 2011 by front woman April Wenzel from the band The Chloes. She reserved artistic control and terms in all partnership terms. The Chloes' goal has always been complete independence to choose their gigs, collaborative projects with other bands, what they wear, all of their LP and flyer art and, most importantly, their sound and m
usical direction. Their partnership is with talented booking agents, distributors, producers, engineers, across the US who support female musicians, and the ultimate goal is to launch these bands into the national music dialogue. The Chloes' first release, Vanish (2012), is originally cut on custom poured, handcrafted multicolored vinyl. An extraordinary technique only practiced by a few manufacturers in the States, namely at A+R Records manufacturing in Dallas who also pour and craft the most recent custom vinyl from The Flaming Lips.
