I’m always reminding people to pray even about the smallest of things in our lives. Sometimes I need a reminder.
After I put up the Christmas decorations I realized I had misplaced some important papers that I had thrown in a plastic sack and put in a “safe place” till after the holidays. I had searched closets, drawers, cabinets and anyplace else I could think of for the last two months. This morning I made one more sweep and still could not find that lost sack of papers.
I was about to make some phone calls to see if I could get copies of what I needed and could remember was missing when I asked my self “ Did you pray about this?” I knew that answer already, so I stopped and asked the Lord to show me where that sack of papers was. I immediately had a thought and I found it with in 10 seconds!! Yes, after two months of searching my own way the Lord showed me in 10 seconds! (Thank you Jesus).
We know and need reminding that our prayers are heard immediately. Some are answered instantly while others take time- some a very long time. None the less , the Lord instantly hears our prayers. Sometimes we like the answer, sometimes we don’t (those “sometimes” I don’t like.) However, as believers we know that He hears us and moves in our behalf. This is our faith! Things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. It’s also believing Him to do what is best for us which might at times look like an unanswered prayer.
So what is it you have been praying, begging, crying and pleading for? You can know the will of God by understanding what the word tells us is in his will. Praying for lost loved ones is a yes, keep praying for God is not willing that any should perish. Your needs to be met, yes! For God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory. ( Your needs not the million dollar lottery). Are you making a major decision? In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path. Your healing, YES!! For by His stripes YOU were HEALED! Is it appointed for man to die eventually, yes. However, If you need a healing keep praying for healing. Or…. You may need delivered from an attack of the enemy that looks like a sickness so fight the good fight of faith in spiritual warfare.
So my FB friends, don’t give up, keep the faith, keep on praying and believing God for the answers. Ask Him how to pray about this situation or that. Trust Him in all things after all you are in the palm of His hand. Pray about anything and everything great and small. Lost loved ones or lost sacks, He has everything under control. May the eyes of your understanding be opened so that you might understand His ways more clearly.
