Stuck in a holding pattern with this cold front, these fish are growing insanely thick! Hopefully a few more like this can hold out until the next full moon, and we may continue seeing giant caliber, pre-spawn fish being caught for a few more weeks

It’s time to throw Marabou, Cindy Rigs, and tiny swimbaits on the flats for big smallmouth. TFO has designed two of the finest finesse rods that I’ve ever used. The 7’6” ML Centra and Resolve series spinning rods from TFO are perfect for these techniques; perfect for making long, 80+ft casts with light baits, but with enough power to control fish after they bite.

If you’re serious about these techniques, you need have the right rod and gear to fish them effectively!

Happy Mother’s Day to my wife, my mom, and heavenly Mother’s Day to my mother in law

To - You are such an amazing wife and mom to our girls. You teach them strength, resilience, and discipline to achieve their goals. You instill confidence in them and encourage them to grow and try new things. I know this last year hasn’t been easy on you, but you continue to push forward and are the best mom to our babies that I could ever ask for ❤️

To my mom - Thank you for always encouraging me to follow my dreams and supporting and guiding me through it all. You always told me to give everything that I tried, 110% and I’ve always done (and continue to do) that. Also, seeing the way you love and have shown love as my mom, has provided a template for the man I’ve become and parent that I am today. Without you, I wouldn’t be who I now am ❤️

And to my Kris - We miss you every day. There isn’t a day that we don’t talk about and think about you. Your impact and presence is daily in our life with the girls, and I’m so grateful to have been able to call you my mother in law. The girls and I miss you, but know that you’re up there with Lily in Heaven ❤️

I am truly at a loss for words to express how much I’ll miss my dad. He passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully at home. We’ll miss you every day. Your dad jokes, guidance, and just calling you to pick on each other. I am so grateful to have called you my dad and for all of the ways you’ve supported me and shown me love in my life.
