𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | Campus Year-End Party 2025

The Year-End Party 2025, titled “Diwa ng Pasko: Pagdiriwang ng Sining at Tradisyon” with the theme “Winterlight: A Tapestry of Talent and Tradition Through Unlocking the Lights Within,” was held on December 22, 2025.

One of the highlights of the program was the MAGPASIKAT Dance Competition, where BS Business Administration emerged as Champion, marking a back-to-back win. BS Hospitality Management placed First Runner-Up, while BS Criminology secured Second Runner-Up.

Another major highlight was the Big Parol Competition, with the design theme “Reflection of Traditional Filipino Aesthetic.” BS Agriculture won Champion, also achieving a back-to-back title, followed by BS Criminology as First Runner-Up and BS Hospitality Management as Second Runner-Up.

The celebration highlighted students’ creativity and talents while promoting Filipino culture, leaving participants with memorable experiences of camaraderie and holiday spirit.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | A Night to Remember: NORSU Night in December

The long-awaited NORSU Night lit up the Mabinay Lingganay Stage on December 21, 2025, as students of NORSU Mabinay Campus showcased their talents with creativity, passion, and uniqueness.

With the theme "A night of Talent, Joy, and Unity: Celebrating Christmas the NORSU way", nine colleges took the stage, filling the night with energy, excitement, and outstanding performances that entertained and inspired the crowd.

Indeed, it was a fun, exciting, and unforgettable celebration of talent an evening that truly set the stage on fire.

The College of Teacher Education of Negros Oriental State University–Mabinay Campus held its Candle Lighting and Pinning Ceremony on December 19, 2025, at Dy Hall-Pableo's Place, recognizing education students as they progressed toward the teaching profession, under the theme “Threads of Friendship, Pathways of Learning: Weaving Our Journey Towards the Teaching Profession.”

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 |18-DAY CAMPAIGN TO END VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN (EVAW)

The NORSU-Mabinay Campus marked the culmination of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women on December 12, 2025, at the Campus Covered Court. This year’s observance carried the theme “United for a VAW-Free Philippines: Stop VAW and Look Beyond Silence, and Listen with Compassion.”

Guest speaker Professor Jill Rose P. Ador led the discussion, highlighting the importance of RA 9262 in protecting women and children and emphasizing its vital role in building a violence-free community. Her talk gave students a deeper understanding of their legal rights, the different forms of abuse under the law, and the proper steps to take when seeking assistance or reporting incidents.

The event concluded with the awarding of the campaign bulletin board and poster-making contest, showcasing the Norsunians’ creativity and advocacy as part of the culmination of the 18-day campaign to end violence against women.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | HARVEST FESTIVAL 2025: Honoring Student Dedication and a Successful Harvest

The College of Agriculture at Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) Mabinay Campus proudly launched its Annual Harvest Festival 2025 with the theme Growing More with Less: Small Pots, Big Harvest. The event featured keynote speakers Mr. Jethro Gwyn O. Elum of the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) and Mr. Remar B. Titong of the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA), who shared meaningful perspectives on sustainable agriculture and industry trends.

The event was further strengthened by the presence of VIP guests from the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Mabinay, led by Municipal Mayor Hon. Ernie T. Uy along with other municipal officials. Their support, together with the unwavering leadership of Prof. Faith B. Patay, Program Chair of the College of Agriculture, contributed greatly to the success of the festival's activities.

The celebration also highlighted the cultural richness of the community through the Palihi Dance, a traditional performance symbolizing gratitude and blessings for a bountiful harvest. Above all, the festival honored the hard work and dedication of Agriculture students as they proudly showcased the fruits of their labor—demonstrating skill, perseverance, and the true essence of agricultural learning.

We are absolutely ecstatic to extend our warmest congratulations to our exceptional candidates from NORSU Mabinay Campus, Ms. FRANCINE NICOLE P. DIDAL & Mr. JADE BRYAN O. RENDAL, for their spectacular performance last night's HARI ug HARA sa NORSU 2025 at Negros Oriental State University Main Campus I; we celebrate Mr. Rendal not only for clinching the minor award of Mr. Congeniality but also for securing the prestigious title of Hari sa NORSU 2025 2nd-Runner Up, as both he and Ms. Didal demonstrated remarkable grace, unwavering confidence, stage competence, and impressive wit in the Q&A portion, truly making NORSU Mabinay Campus immensely proud!

‎In line with the celebration of the 118th Founding Anniversary of NORSU, the University-Wide Press Conference with the theme “Pluma at Lathala: Voices of the University” was successfully held on November 29, 2025 at NORSU Main Campus.
‎
‎Different campus publications participated in this historic first-ever university-wide press conference, including The NORSUnian (TN), TN-Bais, TN-BSC, TN-Guihulngan, TN-Mabinay, Ang Binhi, English Aficionados Community, Society of Student Communicators, and Youthink all bringing passion, enthusiasm, and determination to the event.

‎We are honored and grateful to share that Ms. Sarah Mae B. Bornia of NORSU Mabinay Campus earned 3rd Place in the Opinion/Editorial Writing Category, bringing pride and honor to our campus!

NORSU Mabinay conducted a Mental Health Awareness Workshop-Orientation on November 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM, spearheaded by the NORSU Mabinay Care Office. The session highlighted that emotions matter, health matters, and mind matters.

Prof. Karen T. Perater, Sir Edmark S. Requinto, RPM, and Ma’am Stacy Kaye A. Socorro, RPm shared meaningful insights, coping strategies, and reminders that mental health is not a joke,it’s a serious matter we must take care of.

Let’s continue raising awareness and supporting each other.

NORSU-Mabinay formally launched the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women on November 26, 2025, at the Campus Covered Court. With the theme “United for a VAW-Free Philippines,” the event highlighted the opening program, the presentation of candidates for this year's Ambassadress and Ambassador who will serve as youth advocates in promoting safety, respect, and gender equality on campus and a Poster Making Contest participated in by students from various year levels and programs, showcasing their creativity and commitment to raising awareness against VAW.

‎With the aim of raising awareness on pressing societal issues, the Gender and Development (GAD) Center of NORSU-Mabinay conducted a day-long Orientation Seminar on Human Sexuality, HIV/AIDS/STIs, and the Risk of Teenage Pregnancy on November 18, 2025, at the Campus ST AVR.
