The south wall of the old shed could be removed today in preparation for the builder to come and build a new fence to connect the current south corrugated fence to the east boundary fence to keep the dogs and children in!!

🐕 FRAMING of the Great Dane ✅ complete!

➡️ Our home has an actual name but due to confidentiality of its location, we have nicknamed it The Great Dane, given the stained glass windows are Danish and the house is so ‘great’ standing at 370 square metres. Hubby found this incredible pencil drawing by Mike Sibley, an English artist specialising in fine art graphite pencil drawings of a Great Dane!

👏 We contacted local framer Lisa from You've Been Framed who has helped us decide on the style and colour of frame for this masterpiece that now hangs above the fireplace in the dining room.

🙌 A massive shout out to Ben - a furniture maker here in Timaru at Timbersoul Furniture who makes and restores custom made hardwood furniture and giftware that has life and soul to it.

A piece of the moulding broke off this bookcase while shifting and it was a piece of furniture my past Dad made. It meant the world to have it brought back to its original state and Ben did the trick!

We highly recommend Ben!!!

🙌 New container shed is in place thanks to team at Heartland Containers

➡️ After we took down the original rusted out old shed - we worked with the team at Heartland Containers to build this personalised shed. We’ve used the existing concrete pad and had it dropped in place. It’s perfect for all the kids bike and our tools as we had a lockbox attached to it!

👊 Next step - hearing back from the council with plans for the garage and get that underway!

🔹BEFORE ➡️ AFTER

There was a VERY VERY rusted out old shed (you can still see the south side of it as it’s currently the only thing separating our property and the neighbours) here a few days ago.

When the new fence was erected it was built around this old shed as if was an eyesore. Today we had that same builder pop back and cut down the fence to run in line with the current fence and tidy it up!

👊 Next step - we are getting a new black shed made out of a shipping container dropped in this space by a hijab to use as a storage shed for the time being.

💦 Cheers to Timaru Pool Leisure Centre for teaching us how to maintain a pool!

We had two of the lads come around and show us what to do as well as helpful advice on the easiest way for us to run our pool! We’re super fortunate my Brother & Brother in law gifted us their old Pool Robot to save some time cleaning!

🥳 I’m having a party next month to celebrate my 40th/house warming so cranking this bad boy up for the occasion…..
