Punjab Govt Announces Reopening of Educational Institutions from Tomorrow (8th Sep 2025).

The Punjab Government has announced that all government, private, and aided schools, along with colleges and universities in the state, will reopen as usual from tomorrow. However, in areas affected by floods, the final decision on closure will rest with the respective district’s Deputy Commissioner.

The government has made it mandatory for private school managements to ensure that their premises and classrooms are completely safe before resuming operations, in order to safeguard the well-being of students and teachers.

As per directions, all government schools across Punjab will remain closed for students on September 8. Teachers, however, will be present in schools to supervise extensive cleaning activities, which will be carried out with the assistance of School Management Committees (SMCs), panchayats, municipal councils, and corporations.

Teachers have also been instructed to thoroughly inspect school buildings, and in case of any defects or safety concerns, immediately inform the Deputy Commissioner and the Engineering Department.

From September 9all government schools will resume normal functioning for students.

identified as Neelam. The accused, Neelam (35), who is a resident of the Shimlapuri area in Ludhiana, has been convicted of brutally m*rdering Dilroz Kaur (2), the toddler daughter of her neighbor, Harpreet Singh. As per the police, Neelam had buried Dilroz alive in a pit she dug in the Salem Tabri

returned home and started behaving as if nothing happened.
However, she was interrogated after police scanned CCTVs and found her taking the girl away on her scooter. During the interrogation, she confessed to the crime she committed.
