Oyo 2027:
AKK reiterates Commitment to Integrity, Progress on arrival in London
Leading Oyo State governorship aspirant, Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem (AKK), has reiterated his resolve to usher in a new era of progress and integrity-driven governance as he intensifies consultations ahead of the 2027 Oyo State election.
During a courtesy visit to Harris Academy Bermondsey Hall in London ahead of his upcoming Town Hall Meeting, Book Launch, and Fundraising event scheduled for Saturday, 11th October 2025, Dr. Kareem expressed confidence in his vision to reposition Oyo State through conscience, competence, and compassion.
“Those who have contested before and those who have held political offices in our dear state have played their part in shaping Oyo’s journey,” Dr. Kareem said. “Now is the time for a new vision one rooted in sincerity and service. It is my turn to serve Oyo State with integrity and be a role model for the next generation of leaders.”
Although he has never held a political office, Dr. Kareem has distinguished himself through philanthropy, education, and community development both in Nigeria and abroad. As the Founder of Attaofeequ Billahi International School (ABIS), he has provided scholarships and access to quality education for children from low-income families. Through Attaofeequ Billahi Farms (AB Farm), he has promoted food security, youth engagement, and sustainable agricultural practices across Oyo communities.
A seasoned educator and school leader with the Department of Education in Australia, Dr. Kareem brings international expertise in administration, policy development, and youth empowerment. He has also launched a ₦5 million non-interest loan scheme to support artisans, traders, and small business owners, fostering grassroots entrepreneurship and self-reliance.
Beyond these initiatives, AKK has remained committed to humanitarian work, providing healthcare and welfare support to widows, students, and vulnerable groups. His political movement, the AKK Aseyori Group, now active across all 33 local government areas of Oyo State, serves as a platform for civic education and developmental advocacy.
Dr. Kareem’s London Town Hall Meeting will also feature the launch of his policy blueprint and book, titled “Our Realistic Tomorrow: A Compendium of Hope, Integrity, and Transformation.” The event aims to unite Oyo indigenes in the diaspora, APC members, and community leaders toward a shared vision of sustainable governance.
“My vision for Oyo State is simple,” AKK concluded. “To build a government that listens, a system that works, and a society where every citizen feels seen, supported, and valued. Together, we will make Oyo State truly live up to its name — the Pace Setter’s State.”
