We have thoroughly enjoyed another year of our continued partnership with Ysgol Dinas Bran, welcoming them to our charity's hub every Friday for a weekly volunteer session where they help us with doing our valued community work.

Our fabulous friends on the "Set for Success" Program, decided to organise a fundraiser for us, Rhannu Bwyd Llangollen Food Share. The students held a non uniform day, cake and bake sale and a signed Wales shirt raffle and raised a whopping £713.

We will be putting the money towards our School Holiday lunch programme providing food for local children over the summer holidays.

Diolch yn Fawr Iawn.

Have a fabulous summer and we look forward to seeing you all in September!

On 3rd July 2025, we were happy to welcome Oxon Primary School from Shrewsbury to the Museum. Two groups, each of 30 children, came to the Museum during the day, hosted by volunteer curators Sam Thomson and James Wilson. They were shown a short presentation and film about the history of the town and then had the opportunity to get hands on experience with items in our new handling collection, which was created with funding from the Community Ownership Fund and The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to Sam for getting everything organised for the visit.

The feedback from the school was very positive – ‘Thank you so much for taking the time to welcome us to the museum last week and for preparing and delivering the presentation for the children. They all learnt so much and thoroughly enjoyed the artefacts. We would love to drop in again next summer if that fits in with you.’

This is what Llangollen Museum is all about – giving people of all ages the opportunity to get hands on with heritage.

On Saturday 4th October 2025, Wrexham will represent the whole of Wales as part of the Baton of Hope UK Tour – the country’s biggest su***de prevention initiative 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

The Baton will be carried across Wrexham by our Baton Bearers who have all been impacted by su***de in some way - whether that be having lost someone to su***de or if they’re a survivor themselves.

We’re doing this to raise awareness for su***de prevention, spread the message of HOPE across our communities and to get people talking, opening up conversations around su***de and su***de prevention.

We’re busy bringing the final details of the plans for the tour together, but there’s still time to get involved…
