When I watched the teaser film and the theme of the program, unheard voices, vocal activity, it struck my mind and I reflected, what are these unheard voices? Who own these unheard voices? What is making those voices to be heard? Why are we not hearing them? And we put in answers there that the unheard voices are those millions of farmers, poverty-stricken, millions of fishermen, widowers, orphans, the downtrodden. Their voices are not heard.

Hosted the academia and industry during the second edition of the University of Nairobi, Department of Journalism and Mass Communication powered VUKA FILM FESTIVAL 2025. The event took place between 11th - 12th June 2025 at the Chandaria Auditorium. In attendance were; The CEO of the Kenya film Commision, Mr. Timothy Owase, founder and creative director of Docubox, Miss. Judy Kibinge, Filmmaker Miss. Angela Wamai, Mr Karugu Mureithi from St. Pauls University and leadership and lecturers from the University of Nairobi Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences
