Über uns:
COLOR OF MAY realisiert Dokumentar- und Spielfilme als internationale Koproduktionen im Arthouse-Bereich. Wir suchen Geschichten, die eine einzigartige Perspektive bieten: Erzählungen, die uns Unbekanntes näherbringen und Bekanntes in ein neues Licht rücken.

Zur Verstärkung unseres Teams suchen wir eine engagierte, strukturierte Projektassistenz (m/w/d), die uns in allen Phasen der Projektentwicklung, Organisation und Postproduktion unterstützt.

Deine Aufgaben
• Unterstützung bei der Entwicklung, Realisierung und Auswertung unserer Film- und Serienprojekte
• Vorauswahl und Lektorat von Stoffen und Projekten
• Recherche und Zuarbeit bei Teamsuche, Locations, Festivals, Rechteklärung u. ä.
• Ggf. Teilnahme an Märkten und Branchenevents (nach Absprache)
• Koordination von Terminen und Reisen
• Reisekostenabrechnung und Vorbereitung für die Buchhaltung
• Pflege von Projektlisten, Übersichten und Materialverzeichnissen
• Unterstützung bei der Erstellung und Einreichung von Förderanträgen und Festivalunterlagen
• Nachverfolgung projektbezogener und interner Deadlines
• Systematische Archivierung unserer Filmprojekte
• Organisation der digitalen Bereitstellung aktueller Filme (z. B. als Streaming-Links für Festivals und Vertrieb)
• Technische Unterstützung bei postproduktionsrelevanten Fragen

Dein Profil
• Erfahrung im Produktions-, Postproduktions- oder Medienumfeld von Vorteil
• Sicherer Umgang mit Office-Tools
• Technisches Verständnis für Datenformate, Archivierung und Cloudlösungen
• Strukturierte, eigenständige und lösungsorientierte Arbeitsweise
• Organisationstalent mit Überblick auch in stressigen Phasen
• Kommunikationsstärke, Teamfähigkeit und Zuverlässigkeit
• Affinität zu kreativem Arbeiten im Filmbereich
• Fließend in Englisch

“The Kiss of the Grasshopper” at BERLINALE

We are super happy and proud that after 8 years of long and intensive work with many hurdles, we can finally arrive in the port of Berlin with our film THE KISS OF THE GRASSHOPPER by Elmar Imanov. We couldn't imagine a better place for our premiere than at the BERLINALE in the Forum section. Thank you, dear Barbara Wurm, for your faith in our film and for giving us a platform to show, discuss and celebrate this special film.

We would like to thank everyone involved from the bottom of our hearts: Andrea Hanke from WDR, the Film- and Medienstiftung NRW, Filmförderungsanstalt, Beauftragte der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien, Deutscher Filmförderfonds, the Filmfund Luxembourg, Direzione generale Cinema e audiovisivo – Ministero della Cultura

This film is a co-production between three countries: Germany, Luxembourg, Italy. And a collaboration with a fourth: Georgia. We had a colorful team of artists from all these countries who put their creativity into this film and made the impossible possible. Thank you all! We can't wait to celebrate with you all in Berlin.

A ROOM OF MY OWN und OTAR`S DEATH im Kino!!!

Ich freue mich sehr, dass unserer beiden Georgischen Filme, die beide in Karlovy Vary mit Preisen ausgezeichnet wurden ins Kino kommen/im Kino laufen. "A Room of My Own" gewann außerdem den NRW-Preis. Bei beiden Filmen führte Soso Bliadze Regie. Elmar Imanov schrieb gemeinsam mit ihm das Drehbuch zu "Otar's Death / ოთარის სიკვდილი. Taki Mumladze schrieb gemeinsam mit Soso das Drehbuch zu "A Room of My Own".

Ausländische Filme haben es nicht leicht. Umso mehr, wenn sie während der Pandemie fertiggestellt wurden. Dennoch steckt so viel Herzblut darin und zudem sind es tolle und bewegende Filme.

Wir kämpfen nun selbst dafür, dass die Filme dem Publikum zugänglich gemacht werden. Wir finden es wichtig, Diversität in die deutsche Kinolandschaft zu bringen und Blicke in andere Welten zu ermöglichen. Das macht uns so viel reicher, offener und verständnisvoller auch gegenüber vermeintlich Fremdem. Wir wollen mit unseren Film Brücken zwischen Welten bauen und so mehr Verständigung ermöglichen.

Kommt vorbei! Wir freuen uns auf Euch!!!

A ROOM OF MY OWN and OTAR`S DEATH in theaters!!!

I am very happy that our two Georgian films, which both won awards in Karlovy Vary, will be shown in theaters. “A Room of My Own” also won the NRW Prize. Both films were directed by Soso Bliadze. Elmar Imanov co-wrote the screenplay for “Otar's Death / ოთარის სიკვდილი. Taki Mumladze wrote the screenplay for “A Room of My Own” together with Soso.

Foreign films don't have it easy. Even more so when they were completed during the pandemic. Nevertheless, there is so much heart and soul in them and they are also great and moving films.

We are now fighting to make the films accessible to the public ourselves. We think it's important to bring diversity to the German cinema landscape and provide glimpses into other worlds. This makes us so much richer, more open and more understanding, even towards something supposedly "foreign". We want to build bridges between worlds with our films and thus facilitate greater understanding.

NEW TALENT!!! 🤗🤗🤗

I am super happy and proud to start working with the very talented writer and director KEVIN BIELE. His previous films screened at the Clermont Ferrand Film Festival, at the Max Ophüls Festival and were nominated for the Grimme Preis.

COLOR OF MAY will produce his first feature "VILLAIN" which was selected for the prestigious TorinoFilmLab (Script Lab).

COLOR OF MAY turns 11!!!

In an industry that is constantly changing, that means a lot. Last year was the actual anniversary we wanted to celebrate, but it didn’t happen.

It was one of those moments where I felt we don’t do enough. No matter how hard we work, telling stories from around the world to connect people, to create dialogue and build bridges, it never feels like enough. Wars were and still are omnipresent.

We may not be “systemically relevant,” but we have made 15 films in and with 12 different countries. Friendships have been formed, and the creators and teams have immersed themselves in different worlds. We have learned a lot about ourselves and just as much about others.

What we set out to do 11 years ago—to get to know the unfamiliar and to show the familiar in a new light—still holds true for us today. Because only the unknown is frightening. Once we get to know it, it can become a friend. For us, this credo has proven itself. It's the foundation for understanding.

Thank you to everyone who has accompanied us on this journey so far. All experiences have been a great enrichment. We look forward to the future. With pride, we present to you our showreel featuring some of the films we have produced in recent years.

SMILING GEORGIA`s festival tour continues!!!

I am super happy and proud that our coproduction "Smiling Georgia" by Luka Beradze produced by 1991 Productions, coproduced by COLOR OF MAY and Enkeny Films premiered on the GoEast Filmfestival in Wiesbaden and at Hotdocs Canada (American premiere). Congratulations to everyone!
