Just like Kisses, I wanted to vanish too, away from pressure, and live my life to the fullest.

And then I realized...I'm living that life already.

I ran away from my home in Province 5 months ago.

Move to a city in the metro where no one knows me.

Out of my comfort zone.

Cooking my own food.

Betting on those freelance skills that I have, and challenging myself more to get a client, so that I have money to pay my bills for the following months, and survive.

I've been questioning myself and my decisions whenever I'm almost out of money.

But then I think this is how moving out will teach you the realities of life you haven't experienced yet.

And you will learn to stand on your own feet and not ask anyone for help.

But if someone ask me if I'm happy? I'll say I have peace of mind for now. Even though I'm not yet there. Even though I'm still in my paycheck-to-paycheck era. Even though I feel lonely sometimes.

Just like Kisses...who vanished under the pressure of everyone's eyes watching her move.

I'm glad I did it, too.

You land that dream offer.
You work with that dream client.
You get paid to do your dream job.

You deserve every bit of it.

I still remember when the world was fighting the coronavirus. Churches were closed. People couldn’t go to Mass.

But Pope Francis didn’t stop. He stood alone in the rain, in an empty St. Peter’s Square. No crowd. No choir. Just him, praying for the world.

His faith stayed strong. His love for the people never changed. He showed up when the world felt lost. He prayed with us when everyone was afraid.

Today, we mourn a shepherd who never left his flock, even in the middle of the storm.

Rest in peace, Lolo Kiko.
