Created in 2015 by Lancelot Narayan, The Departure Lounge quickly established itself as a unique radio environment. Imagine international playboys and playgirls speeding across the French Riviera in search of romance and adventure - that's The Departure Lounge.
Playing music from UK and international production music libraries, as well as soundtrack music from the 60s and 70s, The Departure Lounge was listed as one of the 60 best internet radio stations in the world by The Daily Telegraph.
Originally hosted by Radionomy, The Departure Lounge was available on iTunes Radio, Sonos, TuneIn and many other online radio platforms. When Radionomy folded, so did The Departure Lounge, leaving listening, not to mention its creator very disappointed.
The Departure Lounge is back! The station is now hosted on the brilliant Radio.co and solely run by Lancelot Narayan.
Radio.co incur a monthly fee as well as payment of radio rights licences. If the station is to grow and survive, it needs a marketing and advertising budget as well as other incurred costs including the purchase of new music and website build and maintenance.
You simply won't hear this music on any other radio station. The Departure Lounge dives deep into catalogue, bringing you music never commercially available.
