Owaisi Targets BJP, Questions Modi Over Inaction in Shoe Attack on CJI Gavai.

AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday sharply criticized the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi after a suspended lawyer allegedly tried to hurl a shoe at Chief Justice of India B.R. Gavai inside the Supreme Court. Owaisi accused the government of double standards and questioned why no criminal case had been registered against the accused, Rakesh Kishore.

In a post on X, Owaisi wrote, “Why hasn’t any case been filed against the person who targeted India’s second Dalit Chief Justice?” Speaking at a public event, he further lashed out at the BJP and the Prime Minister, saying, “Our Dalit brothers are watching this. People must realize that the BJP is not your ally, and Modi is not on your side. Imagine if the man’s name wasn’t Rakesh Kishore but Asad—what would have happened then? He would’ve been arrested immediately, accused of ISI links, and branded anti-national. Modi ji, isn’t your government answerable for this?”

War criminal Netanyahu face massive boycott and walkout at UN GA address
New York: For the second year in a row, several UN General Assembly delegates walk out of the assembly leaving empty seats when war criminal Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu takes the podium. Several Diplomats say is a war criminal committing mass murder. Netanyahu shamelessly flexed his genocidal campaign in Gaza, and even more shamelessly accused Western populations, media and others of being pro Hamas for asking him to stop killing innocent civilians. He spoke lies after lies and issues threats after threat like a war criminal thug.

Watch Video: Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan walks out of Sitapur jail after 23 months

Senior Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan was released from Sitapur Jail, Uttar Pradesh, on Tuesday after spending nearly 23 months in custody. Large crowds of his supporters gathered outside the prison to greet him, where his son Adeeb Khan was also present.
The 77-year-old former UP minister had recently been acquitted by a special MP-MLA court in a 2008 case involving a road blockade and damage to public property. He was also granted bail in several other pending matters.
Although his release was scheduled for 8:00 am on September 23, it was postponed because of an unpaid fine of ₹8,000 in two separate cases. Once the Rampur court opened at 10 am and the fine was settled, a fax confirmation was sent to Sitapur Jail, clearing the way for his release. Meanwhile, the administration imposed Section 144 in Sitapur city, and police used loudspeakers to caution the public against gathering near the jail premises.

On Tuesday, the Bombay High Court ordered the immediate release of a 19-year-old engineering student who had been arrested and rusticated earlier this month for allegedly posting a controversial Instagram story related to recent Indo-Pak tensions.

The student, currently in her fourth semester at Sinhgad Academy of Engineering in Pune, had approached the High Court to contest both her arrest and her expulsion from college. She was taken into custody on May 9 and had been held in judicial custody at Yerwada Central Jail since then.

A vacation bench comprising Justices Gauri Godse and Somasekhar Sundaresan granted her interim bail and put a hold on the college’s rustication order issued on May 9.

The Court instructed that she be released by Tuesday evening and permitted to sit for her upcoming university exams on May 29, May 31, and June 3.
Justice Somasekhar Sundaresan rejected the claim that the student’s post endangered national security, questioning:

"What national interest? We've reviewed the case file. At this age, students are bound to make mistakes—it's part of growing and learning. That’s exactly where educational institutions should step in. How can a student’s social media post seriously affect national interest?"

He also cautioned against the consequences of heavy-handed state responses, stating:

"Such actions by the State can have a radicalizing effect. If the State responds with extremity, it risks pushing individuals toward radical views."

A Muslim family in Pune came to the rescue of a Hindu couple on Tuesday evening after sudden heavy rain disrupted their wedding ceremony. The wedding of the couple, Sanskruti Kawade and Narendra Galande, was scheduled to take place at an open lawn. Just as the ceremony was about to begin, rain flooded the mandap and forced guests to scramble for cover.
Elders from the wedding party then approached a Muslim family that was hosting a wedding reception in a hall nearby, and requested to let them use the indoor venue. The Muslim family immediately agreed & offered their stage for over an hour. The Hindu wedding took place indoors with full Hindu traditional rituals, including the recitation of the Mangalashtaka & completion of all customary rites.
