Four years ago, I took a leap of faith and moved to Germany to become an Au Pair. 🇩🇪

Starting a new life in a foreign country came with its challenges—new culture, new responsibilities, and most importantly, a completely new language. But I was determined to make the most of this opportunity. I studied hard, learned German from scratch, and eventually applied for an apprenticeship in Hotel Management.

Fast forward to today: I’m incredibly proud to share that I passed my final exams last week—all in German! 🇩🇪📝
The exams included three written tests and one practical/speaking test. It was one of the toughest things I’ve ever done—learning professional terminology, writing, and presenting in a language that once felt so foreign. But I pushed through with dedication and persistence.

Now, I can officially say that I am a certified Hotel Management Assistant! 🏨💼
This journey has been full of ups and downs, but I’ve grown so much—personally and professionally.

Next goal: securing my work visa and taking the next step in my career! 🙌🏼
To anyone chasing their dreams far from home—keep going. It’s not easy, but it’s absolutely worth it. 💖

✨ A Chapter Closed, A Journey Just Beginning ✨

Today, I’m filled with gratitude, pride, and a bit of nostalgia as I officially mark the end of my Ausbildung zur Hotelkauffrau. What a journey it has been – full of challenges, growth, incredible people, and unforgettable moments.

When I first started this path, I could never have imagined how much I would learn – not just about the hospitality industry in Germany, but also about myself. From mastering the art of guest service to understanding the complexities of hotel operations, sales, and event planning, every day brought new lessons and experiences that helped shape the professional I am today.

I am deeply thankful to all my mentors, teachers, colleagues, and leaders who believed in me, supported me, and challenged me to grow. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, for your patience, and for creating an environment where I felt encouraged to learn and improve.

To my team – thank you for the laughs, the teamwork, and the unforgettable memories. You’ve made the tough days easier and the good days even more special.

To the guests I’ve met along the way – thank you for reminding me why I chose this career: to bring joy, comfort, and memorable experiences to others.

To my family and friends – thank you for always cheering me on, even when things got overwhelming.

This Ausbildung was more than just a vocational training – it was a period of personal transformation. I gained not just skills and certificates, but confidence, clarity, and passion for the world of hospitality.

As I now step into the next chapter of my professional journey, I carry with me all these experiences and the strong foundation built during these past years. I’m excited to explore new opportunities, grow further, and contribute meaningfully to this amazing
industry.

Here’s to new beginnings, continuous learning, and a future full of possibilities. 💼

Four years ago, I was just starting to learn the basics of the German language-barely able to form a proper sentence.

Tomorrow, I'll be taking my final exam and completing my apprenticeship soon.

It hasn't always been easy. There were moments of doubt, confusion, and frustration-but I kept going. Step by step, word by word, I grew.

Looking back, I'm proud of how far I've come. And to anyone out there starting something new: trust the process. The beginning might feel slow, but every small effort adds up to something big.

The journey continues— but today, I pause to be grateful for-how far I've come. ❤️
