Happy New Year, Wild Carnation friends! While we haven't posted it on Bandcamp since it was released for the first time on vinyl in October 2023, we want to share last year's news that our sophomore recording SUPERBUS is available from Pine Hill Records.

Approximately 200 copies were manufactured, and we hope you can help to sell them out.

And who wouldn't want to proudly display this beautiful purple/green splatter vinyl? For traditionalists, it is available in black vinyl, too.

We will NOT be offering the remastered lp here, as we want to send all sales directly to Pine Hill; but we will have the original CD (manufactured in 2006) available in the near future.

Wild Carnation was formed in 1992 by vocalist/bassist Brenda Sauter (The Feelies, Speed the Plough, The Trypes) following the breakup and subsequent 16-year hiatus of The Feelies. Joined by Richard Barnes (electric and acoustic guitars), Christopher O’Donovan (drums, percussion, backing vocals) the trio put out their debut album “Tricycle” in 1994. It wasn’t until 12 years later and the addition of Anne Hopkins (Farfisa Mini-Compact Organ) that the band released their follow-up album “Superbus” in 2006.

We've been a little quiet the past few weeks. With nothing new to talk about sometimes we choose to remain silent. We are still very much recovering our flow from where we were at pre-pandemic. Here's a little something to let you know we have 4 albums in the pressing plant right now. All of them coming out this year. Really looking forward to it.

We got a couple handfuls of these back from New Zealand recently. This was a rare unannounced 2nd cassette pressing we did back in 2021 that sold out via distros & the merch table so we didn't even bother announcing. Now that we got some back via trade, here's the first ever mention of it. Urban Waste S/T on gray shell tape. Antidote "Thou Shalt Not Kill" on blue shell tape. Classic 1982 & 83 NYHC staples. Each come with a download card. Grab the pair on our site below!
