Two days ago, Butuan Reporter posted about the persistent beggars at the Gaisano intersection. The CSWD Butuan was tagged in the post. So far, over 81,000 people have seen the post. There are over 200 reactions and 66 comments. Many commenters report similar experiences.

Today, the same persistent beggars were back at the same spot, at the intersection near Gaisano.

Anyone who thinks the CSWD did nothing is mistaken. The CSWD did indeed take action, albeit in a way that might seem unusual to most people: They BLOCKED Butuan Reporter on Facebook. 🤣🤣🤣

ICC CONFIRMS ARREST WARRANT VS BATO

The International Criminal Court confirmed that the circulating arrest warrant against Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa is an authentic ICC document.

According to the ICC, Pre-Trial Chamber I issued the warrant on Nov. 6, 2025 under confidential and sealed proceedings.

The tribunal added that it is now taking steps to officially unseal the document.

Meanwhile, Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla said that the Philippines is not under the jurisdiction of the ICC following the country’s withdrawal from the tribunal.

However, Remulla noted that authorities may act if the warrant is coursed through the Interpol, saying law enforcement agencies can carry out an arrest in accordance with Supreme Court guidelines.

Hey CSWD Department Butuan!

Is anyone able to do something about the persistent beggars at the Gaisano crossing? It's only 200 meters from your place!

One of them harasses drivers with his begging, and there's a whole group of teenagers standing on the street, aggressively asking for money ("Hey, give money!") and even shouting after you if you don't give them anything. They're obviously from out of town; I've never seen them here before.

I'm writing to you here because you don't get a reply to messages on Messenger.

Arrest warrant against Senator Bato dela Rosa!

ICC ORDERS ARREST OF SEN. BATO — SOURCES

The International Criminal Court has released the arrest warrant against Senator Bato dela Rosa, according to News5 sources.

News5 sources also said that the Interpol has received the warrant.

The Department of Justice and the Department of the Interior and Local Government said they have not yet received any information on the senator’s ICC arrest warrant.

Dela Rosa was named as one of former President Rodrigo Duterte’s co-perpetrators in the crimes against humanity case in relation to the war on drugs. via Marianne Enriquez/News5
