Breakfast today is baked vanilla pears with greek yogurt. I have been making this recipe from for years after my friend made it for me one fall. Today I have the luxury of a quiet breakfast with my mom and some beautiful fall pears.

The makings of coleslaw with fresh-picked ingredients from the garden. This is my first year growing cabbage and once I figured out the slug problem I’ve been doing alright. This will may the perfect side for pulled pork sandwiches tonight.

SO excited that .ca is newly opened near us in Vancouver. We loved them in Calgary and are so happy that we can enjoy them here now. I would show you the sourdough and baguette that I bought but my kid’s devoured them. This almond croissant has me making happy noises.

6lbs of fresh picked blackberries all cooked up into jam today. Nothing like hearing that satisfying ping of the lids sealing. This is one of my favourite ways to taste summer all winter long.

One of the only things I live more than a good bubble tea is BTS. Had a great time decorating photocatd holders and sipping delicious bubble tea at the Spring Day BYS event .bbt. Pictured is the Deja Vu - so refreshing that I had to have a second. If you want to join in this BTS event it is on today and tomorrow. Follow them for more K-pop themed events in Vancouver

Mmmm! A delicious selection of bars from - pictured are the Campfire Bar, Pecan Bar, Lemon Bar and the Bajillionare Bar. (The last is my favourite! ) such a great treat for dessert or afternoon tea.

One of my favourite places to pick up deli items is the Kits institution the Parthenon. They may have shifted locations a few times but they never miss with their tzatziki and olive bar. I was stocking up on olives for nibbling today and a friendly staff member suggested I try what is now my new favourite olive - the salmod (swipe to see which one)

Mmmmmm pizza night. Homemade margherita pizza for the win. It’s worth it to grow basil all winter just to add some fresh leaves onto pizza 🍕

We couldn’t wait for the blossoms to actually come out so we grabbed Cherry Blossom Tea Lattes from and walked on the beach between showers - check the next pic and you can see that spring is almost here! The lattes were delicious BTW - slightly sweet and lightly floral - our first but definitely not our last - bring on the blossoms!! 🌸

Look at this beauty!!! So many crispy layers and a delicious blueberry filling. I wish took photos of the other flavours but my kids ate them too quickly. What a find - will definitely be visiting ._ again! So delicious 😋

Enjoying a treat from This chocolate passion fruit tart has a chocolate crust and chocolate ganache base then is topped with a soft passion fruit curd. That tangy tropical topping is making my taste buds happy. If you haven’t been to La Roux Patisserie yet- I highly recommend. Located at the edge of Chinatown in downtown Victoria.

Feeling all the coziness of a warm hug from my cup of tea today. This is one of my favourites from she does bookish and fandom inspired teas. They are delicious and even better she is a Canadian small business. Love to support local.

When life hands you apples - make apple pie! I make an old fashioned apple pie- recipe is my mom’s and was always a favourite of my dad. This one is made using some beautiful honeycrisp apples. I love apple season! 🍎
