Nearly two years later and this video has almost earned enough to cover the cost of the actual knife I bought, which was about $130. It's one of my most viewed videos.

As a small YouTuber, I made $43.87 across the channel this past month. That's not bad considering it's all from content that I had on the channel for years. I haven't produced anything new (barring YouTube Shorts) in over 6 months but I have some stuff I want to get out once I have time to edit them.

The advice I give every traveller to Japan is don't visit in summer (September still counts as summer in Japan in my eyes). The heat and near 100% humidity is the worst. Plus it's typhoon season and the rainy season is June-July.

The best months to visit are October to May. Winter gets very cold but it's better than getting drenched in sweat as soon as you step outside.
