They're not quite there, yet.

Trump's already done most of the groundwork. He has subjugated or emasculated most, if not all of:
the branches of elected government;
the judiciary;
independent government agencies;
the military;
national security;
educational institutions; and
legal firms.
He has pretty much destroyed or is in the process of destroying:
access to health services;
access to public services;
access to medications;
voting rights;
the right to free speech;
the right to religious freedom;
the freedom of the press;
the right to peacefully gather; and
the right to due process.

Besides destroying the economy so he can proclaim, "Only Trump can fix it!" there is one, tiny, act required: there will need to be a threat of violence (real, imagined, or created) against the US but specifically against Trump or his Administration. When *any* semblance of martial law is invoked, regardless of the premise, THEN the US officially in a fascist regime.
Well done!

(I'm giving it until, say, mid-May. So there is enough time to plan the military parade for his 79th birthday June 14)

I think those that are vandalising vehicles and firebombing Tesla dealerships should be charged appropriately.
That is to say, by the local police.

The AGOTUS (Pam Bondi, a woman that doesn't pronounce her surname correctly) has branded those vandals "domestic terrorists" and will, therefore, charge them with federal crimes when they are apprehended.
In the meantime, POTUS has done a car ad on the South Lawn of the White House, and calling anyone that buys an EV that isn't a Tesla a "traitor". Similarly, Cabinet members clap, and cheer, and suck up to Musk in a Cabinet meeting as if he alone has saved the planet from yet-to-be-disclosed fraud, abuse, and waste in the federal government.
All this to cover the arse of that immigrant fascist who is "doing us a favour, though" by being a firewall between the public and the Orange Jesus.
If (when) the MAGA supplicants finally turn against the administration, Trump and the unqualified cabinet, the republican senators and House representatives can point straight at the pseudo-agency DOGE and blame the head of it for all its failures and its destruction of the American economy, and the country's place in the world.

I'm against all sorts of political violence, obviously, but while on one hand the republicans are clutching their pearls because people are expressing their anger through violence, the same party's Dear Leader called more than 1,500 violent insurrectionists "patriots" and pardoned them.

Then you have a bunch of Cabinet members in a group chat on a commercial application diacussing military action plans, targets, resources, weqpjs platforms, and attack timingsm. With a fu***ng journalist accidentally in the chat, AND a bloke that hasn't been confirmed by the Senate, either.
THAT chat app use is an obvious and transparent way for them to say what they want without it going into the official records as the would be if they used the authorized, secure communications tools made available to them. This wasn't he first time, either. The National Security Advisor mentions, "first PC chat session." So what else have they done illegally?

And who authoriaed the strike? Only POTUS can, his usual lies about "not knowing what they're talking about" when asked by journalists, are *finally* starting to get even Fox and NewsMax asking almost serious questions.

Australians are very lucky that they only have to choose between two mealy-mouthed obsequious tools in May, and not have to live under the mania of a malevolent narcissistic racist ra**st, and its fawning, sycophantic, traitorous criminal administration.

Trump is removing ALL accountability from the federal government because, as dictator, he sees the government as an extension of his own ego and personaility. And he cannot abide accountability nor even pushback or even an alternative opinion to his own.
He is creating a bubble in which nothing can be attached to him. If something goes wrong, it's the state's fault, or the media's, or a foreign government's, or a foreigner's, or a doctor's.
He's closing all research, knowledge, and social improvement agencies that assist the populace: education, health, Medicare, Medicaid, FEMA, Weather Channel, Voice of America, and so on.

He's decentralising any disaster assistance and removing unencumbered aid, and creating a federal government solely designed for oppression and repression.

He is taking more control of the purse strings so what he'll end up with is centralised federal money, and the power of the DoJ, ICE, CIA, NSA, and the armed forces. Then, with nothing held at federal level except cash and enforcement mechanisms, he'll hold the states to ransom, just as he currently is with California.
States will have to kowtow to him for funds and if they don't, he can blame the states' lawmakers for being "disgraceful" and "nasty", and "vicious" because that's the limit to his vocabulary.

The ultimate power grab.
"Do as I say or your state's residents die and you lose your governorship at the next election."

Well, it started even before the inauguration balls: The suck-holing by A**l to the Mango Moron.
Learned absolutely nothing, haven't they, the politicians? A strong relationship is only "good" if its advantageous to the USA's Cretin-in-Chief, nothing - *nothing* - else.

From the ABC (OZ, not US)
------
"We'll impose new tariffs so that the products on our stores will once again be stamped with those beautiful words 'made in the USA,'" Trump said at a recent press conference.

Despite those plans Mr Albanese told 7.30 that Trump assured him the relationship will remain "perfect".
-----
My response, a paraphrase from a film I watch annually:
------
I love that word "relationship." Covers all manner of sins, doesn't it? I fear that this has become a bad relationship; a relationship based on the President taking exactly what he wants and casually ignoring all those things that really matter to, erm... [Australia] . We may be a small country, but we're a great one, too. ... And a friend who bullies us is no longer a friend. And since bullies only respond to strength, from now onward I will be prepared to be much stronger. And the President should be prepared for that.
------
But it won't happen because of a lack of morals, spinal columns, intestinal fu***ng fortitude in the group of appropriately supplicant f**kwits chosen by the few that we're FORCED to vote for.

Yes, I understand we need to placate the thin-skinned spoiled toddler but by f**k we couldn't we have waited to get Ambassador Rudd's nose out of felonious fraud and civil ra**st's arse before replacing it with Foreign Minster Wong's?
And for A**l's comments on X? Fu***ng pathetic.

Side note: Penny Wong better carry her diplomatic passport with her at all times while in the States.
According to the expected Executive Order, she's "plainly not American" as she "has the wrong eyes and speaks English funny" and that'll be good enough for her to be detained on suspicion of being an illegal immigrant and then incarcerated.

GLOSSARY:
A**l
Jack's term for the current Prime Minister of Australia, Labor (Labour/Democrat) Party leader ANthony ALbanese. Based on the fact that when the Liberal (Conservative/Republican) Party were in power, some marketing tool and/or suckup media decided to call their *last* PM (they went through three or four in seven years through the age old backstabbing-your-mates process) Scott Morrison - a smirking, self-absorbed f**kstiuck that had no moral compass and, like the US's Sen. Ted Cruz, liked going on holidays during crises) "ScoMo"

Well, it's been a long, long while and I'm a bit rusty.

"Jonathan Pie" , in his latest YouTube post does best: going off his t**s.
This time he accurately and cogently about an unelected, lying, foreign billionaire using his technology and vast reach attempting - and often achieving - the overthrow of different European, North American and Asian government policies for his own benefit.
And, in this case, to the personal benefit of scum like Andrew Tate and that Bloated Orange c**t across the Atlantic.

Now! Who are these arseholes using for their political benefit this time? The thousands of child r**e victims of organised Pakistani gangs in the UK.
It's a disgrace. I've read some of the *actual* findings of the Inquiries when they came out decades ago so it is not new and what Pie says is accurate.
I have had discussions with one close friend who, I would be fair to say, leans a darned sight more to the Left than I, and we agree on this completely.
How anyone could disagree with "child r**e is bad"? And then, make matters worse and to grow a legion of followers of equally malignant minds by abjectly LYING about what the Government is(n't) doing about it is bulls**t considering at least two Inquiries were done under the previous 14-year long Conservative reign. And the findings, and the recommendations, how many did that party implement? Fu***ng NONE. And now *that* party, now in Opposition, is force-feeding and embellishing and downright lying about it, and Elon fu***ng Musk and his ilk are blaming the seven months'-old Labour government for doing nothing to address it. Including, if memory serves, laying criminal charges against Jess Phillips MP as she is the current, yes the *current* Secretary of whatever-the-f**k-the-portfolio-is that covers home affairs is called.
Using child r**e victims to score political points? You should be kicked out of Parliament/Congress under the Moral Turpitude provisions.
Not that the House Ethics Committee in the US has any fu***ng standards any more.

With Musk's interventions can we separate the truth from the lies?Viewer discretion advised.
